A concert reading of City of Light, a new musical written by Jan Roper, Gabrielle Wagner, and Julie Weiner, is coming to Feinstein's/54 Below. Directed by Autumn Reeser ("The Arrangement," "Entourage," "The O.C."), City of Light was selected by Stephen Schwartz for the ASCAP Musical Theater Workshop, and was presented as part of the SheNYC Theater Festival. FEINSTEIN'S/54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club, presents a concert reading of City of Light, a new musical written by Jan Roper, Gabrielle Wagner, and Julie Weiner.  Directed by Autumn Reeser ("The Arrangement," "Entourage," "The O.C."), City of Light was selected by Stephen Schwartz for the ASCAP Musical Theater Workshop, and was presented as part of the SheNYC Theater Festival.  Set in Paris, City of Light is a modern, romantic musical comedy - with an unexpected twist -- that will make you want to book the next flight to France!

The event, which honors the work of the state's professional theaters, was held at Sacred Heart University's Edgerton Center for the Performing Arts June 26. Three-time Tony Award-nominee Terrence Mann was master of ceremonies.

The show will star Kimberly Immanuel (Pacific Overtures, The Fantasticks) as Molly. It will also feature Tony nominee Valarie Pettiford (Fosse, Big Deal), Anthony Norman (Newsies Nat'l Tour), Darren Bunch, Keri Safran, and Jack Cotterell.

TheaterWork's production of the musical "Next to Normal" led the nominations for the 27th annual Connecticut Critics Circle Awards event to be held Monday, June 26 at 7:30 p.m. at Sacred Heart University's Edgerton Center for the Performing Arts in Fairfield.
