Critically acclaimed Actor/Singer, Barbara Bleier, returns to the intimate Pangea stage in a new solo show, “TOO OLD TO DIE YOUNG”

Austin Pendleton and Barbara Bleier were working with Barbara Maier Gustern at the time of her death and they will perform in her honor in a Sondheim/Hammerstein tribute show on March 27th.

1st Annual California Jazz & Blues Museum Hall of Fame Inductee Ceremony Fundraiser and Barbara Morrison's Birthday Celebration Concert, a fundraiser for the Museum to develop their digital arts program, to introduce basic coding, Android development, organizational structures, basic computer competencies and create an interactive section in the Museum which will give visitors an open source digital portal to the vast historical collection of Jazz & Blues available at the Museum and throughout Los Angeles.  The museum's goal is to raise $25,000.00.  The purpose of the Inductee Ceremony is to recognize local, national and international Jazz & Blues legends for their contributions to the music industry.

These courtroom comedic drama operettas promise the best local voices, accompanied by antics and laughs in the intimate setting of the CFCArts Black Box Theatre.

The Broadway community mourns the loss of legendary actress and recording artist Barbara Cook, who passed away on Tuesday, August 8th at age 89. The marquees of Broadway theatres in New York will be dimmed in her memory on Wednesday, August 9th at exactly 7:45pm for one minute.

Today, the Actors' Equity Foundation honored Katrina Lenk for her work in The Band's Visit and Indecent as well as Will Pullen from Sweat with the 2017 Clarence Derwent Award. In addition, the annual Actors' Equity Foundation Award honored union members Barbara Barrie for her work in Broadway's Significant Other and Anthony Chisholm for his work in this past season's riveting Jitney.
