Inspired by Dave Stevens' beloved superhero comic books and Walt Disney Pictures feature film, the series stars Kitana Turnbull ('A Series of Unfortunate Events') as Kit, and Billy Campbell and Kathy Najimy as her parents, Dave and Sareena Secord. Campbell is best-known for starring as Cliff Secord in 'The Rocketeer' film.

Global entertainer Beyoncé is set to take viewers on a journey through Africa with an hour-long documentary special, a?oeBeyoncé Presents: Making The Gift,a?? set to air Monday, Sept. 16 (10:00-11:00 p.m. EDT), on ABC. This intimate behind-the-scenes look at the making of the album, a?oeThe Lion King: The Gift,a?? features candid footage and interviews detailing the hard work and passion that went into her love letter to Africa.

Production has begun on Walt Disney Pictures' “Safety,” a drama inspired by the uplifting true story of former Clemson safety Ray McElrathbey, in South Carolina. A new comedic, animated adventure series 'The Rocketeer'—inspired by Dave Stevens' beloved superhero comic books and Walt Disney Pictures feature film—follows Kit Secord after she learns she's secretly next in line to become The Rocketeer, a rocket- pack wearing superhero who can fly. The series will debut on Disney Channel and Disney Junior this fall with actor Billy Campbell, who starred as Cliff Secord in 'The Rocketeer' film, as the voice of Dave Secord, Kit's father. Kathy Najimy (Hocus Pocus) will voice Kit's mother, Sareena Secord, and Kitana Turnbull (A Series of Unfortunate Events) stars as Kit. The news was announced today during Disney Television Animation's panel at San Diego Comic-Con International.

Production started this week in Vancouver on Walt Disney Pictures' “Flora & Ulysses,” directed by Lena Khan and based on the Newberry Award–winning children's book, “Flora & Ulysses: The Illuminated Adventures” by Kate DiCamillo. The film is being produced for the upcoming streaming service Disney+, which launches in the U.S. on November 12.

The El Capitan Theatre puts a spotlight on its historic Mighty Wurlitzer Organ and its award winning house organist with a special concert by Rob Richards, TO DISNEY WITH LOVE, celebrating his twentieth anniversary as the El Capitan Theatre's house organist.  Richards has played this spectacular instrument at the landmark Hollywood movie palace since its installation in 1999.
