Direct from Broadway, the National Tour of the five-time Tony-nominated SISTER ACT is in town, featuring an original score by award-winning composer Alan Menken and lyricist Glenn Slater, and a book by Cheri and Bill Steinkellner with additional book material by Douglas Carter Beane. Based on the Touchstone Pictures 1992 motion picture written by Joseph Howard, the live stage show has an ensemble cast that will have you dancing in the aisles to its variety of musical styles.

Just in time to cheer up the holiday season and to welcome the New Year, producers Whoopi Goldberg, Stage Entertainment and Troika Entertainment announce casting for the North American Tour of five-time Tony Award® nominated musical SISTER ACT. SISTER ACT will play the Broward Center for the Performing Arts December 18 - 30 as part of the Bank of America Broadway in Fort Lauderdale subscription series.

This summer Steps Off Broadway will be hosting master dance classes and lectures being taught by NYC and Broadway professionals. These classes and lectures are open to the public. What a great opportunity of getting the NYC experience without the hassle of driving to NYC. General dance classes will be held on Monday and Wednesdays from 6 - 7:30, and Tap classes will be held on Tuesdays from 5:30- 7:00. Each class and lecture is $20.00. The Cabaret for a Cause series continues tonight, July 15th. Tickets are a cash donation of your choice at the door to raise money for the new musical Born Blue, which benefits St Jude Children's Research Hospital. The concert takes place at The Cutting Room, 44 East 32nd Street Doors open at 8 pm. Plus, show memorabilia will be auctioned off, including items from performances of RENT and Hair.
