Northern Stage has announced its 2023/24 Season, offering four main stage productions in the Byrne Theater at the Barrette Center for the Arts, plus vibrant outdoor concerts, visionary education programming, engaging developmental work, and much more! This season is one that will bring to life intimate, personal stories that speak to the world and our infinite universe and embrace life and what makes us human. 

Northern Stage’s joyous holiday tradition returns with the world premiere production of The Railway Children, a new American adaptation of Edith Nesbit’s beloved British classic children’s novel with new music and lyrics by Jane Shaw and Mark Hartman (A Christmas Carol at the Guthrie; The Wanderers at Roundabout.

The Drama Desk Award-nominated Indie folk band and theater collective The Lobbyists (SeaWife) have today debuted the all-new audio play series Around the Campfire with The Lobbyists. 

Shea Grant performs a monologue from the Two River production of A Little Shakespeare: Macbeth, reminding us all to use time spent with family wisely, and not to make any rash decisions related to the Scottish throne while we're at it.

In what has become an annual ritual, a total of 40 established and emerging composers, lyricists, and librettists will converge on the Goodspeed campus from mid-January through mid-February 2020 to participate in the Johnny Mercer Foundation Writers Colony at Goodspeed Musicals. The writing teams, representing 15 new musicals, will populate the campus, creating a truly exciting environment for discovery and inspiration.

ENSEMBLE STUDIO THEATRE (EST) (William Carden, Artistic Director) and The Alfred P. Sloan Foundation (Doron Weber, Vice-President, Programs) have announced details for the 2020 First Light Festival, part of the EST/Sloan Project to develop plays exploring science and technology.

Two River Theater is now presenting William Shakespeare's romantic comedy 'Twelfth Night' directed by Sara Holdren with original songs composed by the band/theater collective, The Lobbyists. Performances will be in Two River's Rechnitz Theater through Sunday, February 2. Broadwayworld.com had the pleasure of interviewing Hannah Rose Caton who plays Viola in the show.

Two River Theater, under the leadership of Artistic Director John Dias and Managing Director Michael Hurst, will kick off the new year with Shakespeare's romantic comedy Twelfth Night, directed by Sara Holdren with original songs composed by the band/theater collective The Lobbyists. National Alliance for Musical Theatre announces final casting for the 31st Annual FESTIVAL OF NEW MUSICALS, which takes place on Thursday, October 24 and Friday, October 25, 2019 at New World Stages (340 West 50th Street, between 8th and 9th Avenues).

The National Alliance for Musical Theatre will kick-off this year's Festival of New Musicals at The Green Room 42 (at the Yotel, 570 10th Ave) with The 46th Minute concert on Wednesday, October 23 at 7 PM.  This concert is open to the public and tickets starting at $22, can be purchased by visiting TheGreenRoom42.poptix.com.

The Festival events will kick off on Wednesday, October 23, with the return of The 46th Minute Concert at The Green Room 42.

'Only Yesterday' written by Bob Stevens and directed by Carol Dunne is an enthralling show now being performed at 59E59 Theaters through September 29. It brings together two of the Beatles, Paul McCartney and John Lennon in an imaging of a night they spent together stranded in a motel by a hurricane when they were on an American tour.
