Austin’s premier live jazz venue Parker Jazz Club is excited to share its October calendar and upcoming programming for fall 2021. Highlights include the Marcos Varela Quartet on Oct. 12 during Parker Jazz Club’s Jazz Therapy Session, The Adderley School Presents Broadway & Jazz with Nat Adderley, Jr. on Oct. 17, and Dale Watson is scheduled to perform as one of the first guest in the club’s new Parker Jazz Orchestra Series on Oct. 27. 

Renowned jazz musician Nat Adderley, Jr. will hit the stage at Parker Jazz Club (114 West Fourth St., Austin, Texas) on Sunday, Oct. 17. Nat will appear in concert with his band and special guest Kenny Williams to benefit THE ADDERLEY FOUNDATION, which provides scholarships and financial assistance for underserved students.

As live performances return to venues throughout Southern California, Irvine Barclay Theatre has announced nearly 20 shows that it has added to its season, which kicks off on September 19 with the country chart-topping trio The Gatlin Brothers.

The Herberger Theater Center is excited to announce its new Art of Celebration Concert Series featuring five concerts on The Pavilion, its new outdoor stage. Throughout the months of March and April, the Herberger Theater will present Dennis Rowland & Diana Lee, The Stakes, Phoenix Afrobeat Orchestra, HÄANA, and the Alice Tatum Band.

The Jazz Foundation of America will continue its fundraising efforts on behalf of musicians affected by the pandemic, with “BIRD CALLS,” on Thursday, December 10th, a livestream concert celebrating the centennial of saxophonist, composer, and legendary musical innovator Charlie “Yardbird” Parker.

The Jazz Foundation of America, the 31-year-old New York-based non-profit serving the jazz community, will continue its fundraising efforts on behalf of musicians affected by the pandemic with “Bird Calls,” a glittering December 10 livestream celebrating the centennial birthday of alto saxophonist Charlie “Yardbird” Parker.

The Newport Beach Jazz Party starts on Thursday February 13, 2020 and runs through Sunday, February 16, 2020 offering a stellar line-up of the biggest names in jazz today. Following several successful runs since its debut in 2014, GEORGIA ON MY MIND: Celebrating The Music of Ray Charles, is returning, visiting 26 cities across the US in February and March. The show features an all-star cast including Emmy Award Winning singer-songwriter Clint Holmes, 10-time GRAMMY Award Winners and Gospel Music Hall of Famers Take 6, 6-time GRAMMY nominated vocalist Nnenna Freelon and GRAMMY Award-winning saxophonists Tom Scott (for the first two shows only) and Kirk Whalum. This dynamic ensemble will perform iconic tunes from the catalogue of the American treasure Ray Charles including “Hit the Road Jack”, “What'd I Say”, and of course, “Georgia on my Mind.”
