Last night, celebrities gathered to celebrate the new cast of the West End production TINA – THE TINA TURNER MUSICAL which is based on the life of legendary artist Tina Turner and was produced in association with Tina Turner herself. See photos from the evening!

The North American touring cast is led by Naomi Rodgers (Frozen) and Ari Groover (TINA Broadway, Head Over Heels, Holler If Ya Hear Me) who will evenly share the role of Tina Turner, each playing four (of eight) performances a week. Also starring are Roderick Lawrence as Ike Turner, Roz White as Zelma Bullock, Wydetta Carter as Gran Georgeanna and Sarah Bockel as Rhonda.

The Fabulous Fox Theatre has announced that single tickets for TINA – The Tina Turner Musical at the Fabulous Fox Theatre will go on sale Monday, August 14 at 10:00 a.m. for 16 performances from November 14-26.

Kent’s direction is interesting but leans into melodrama, with Ball offering some glitzy big-name introspection and the plot itself overflowing into sexual ambiguity and implied promiscuity. Aspects of Love is, essentially, an indefensibly problematic musical soap opera that looks exquisite but didn’t need to be revived.

Lambert House Enterprises presents its latest performance – a staged reading of The Disappearance at the New Theatre in Newtown on Wednesday May 3rd at 8pm. A re-working of the classic book The Boy Who Could Make Himself Disappear, the play is also a partial adaptation of the screenplay Baxter by Reginald Rose (Twelve Angry Men).
