​​​​​​​DPAC has announce the finalists for Triangle Rising Stars, central North Carolina's High School Musical Theatre Awards, that will take place on May 18th, 2023 at 7:30 PM with host, Clay Aiken and special guest Tony Award Winner, Beth Leavel.  Triangle Rising Stars is presented by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina.

Producer Jeffrey Seller and Broadway Alaska hae announced that single tickets for HAMILTON will go on sale to the public on May 10, 2023. Tickets will be available for performances August 17, 2023 – September 10, 2023.

New York City theater district's beloved Sardi's restaurant will host a full house of Broadway stars, industry insiders and theater fans for the Texas Hold 'em tournament, which has been on a pandemic-induced hiatus for four years. Newcomers and aces alike will have the chance to go “all in” and win the coveted title of Broadway Bets champion. Prizes will be awarded to all players who reach the final table.

The national tours of HADESTOWN and SIX will make their Lowcountry premieres part of the 2023-2024 Best of Broadway season at the North Charleston Performing Arts Center. HADESTOWN performances are January 2 – 7, 2024 and SIX performances are March 12 – 17, 2024. Each show will offer eight performances.

The Performing Artist Tax Parity Act reintroduced provides tax relief for artists. AMC partners with Black Theatre Coalition to support diversity. Broadway struggles with ticket resellers, but official ticket sellers like Telecharge, Ticketmaster, and Broadway Direct help customers find direct box office tickets.

Last week, my friend Michelle, inspired by my story on the talent of Alli Mauzey, went to buy tickets to KIMBERLY AKIMBO. She went to SeatGeek. Why? Because the last time she went to a show, it was FUNNY GIRL, and I told her SeatGeek was the box office, so she assumed that was true for all Broadway theaters.

The 25th anniversary production of Riverdance will continue its tour in over 50 cities across North America in 2023 with a limited engagement at San Jose’s Center for the Performing Arts.

Theater Resources Unlimited (TRU) and CreateTheater.com have announced an upcoming TRU Feedback Workshop, How to Write a Musical That Works - Part Three: Reckoning and Resolution, reformatted and rethought for virtual presentation, on Sunday, March 26, 2023 from 12pm-7:00pm ET.

The Museum of Broadway will begin offering onsite educational workshops and resources for school group visitors.
