2018 brought in a number of popular shows and events from the stages of Philadelphia and suburbs, right down to the Jersey Shore. Wish I could have seen them all. However, www.broadwayworld.com was there to see so many amazing people and creative teams bring out their best as my BWW colleagues also weigh in on their favorites. It was a difficult to choose from so many great offerings. So here are my picks.
Eagle Theatre Takes #GivingTuesday To The Next Level

Eagle Theatre's season finale, The Spitfire Grill - The Musical, opens tonight! But, there is more than just holiday magic cooking at South Jersey's only year-round professional equity theatre. This non-profit has decided to take the season of giving to the next level by spreading its philanthropic wings. Throughout the run of The Spitfire Grill - The Musical, November 16th - December 16th, actors from the production will be participating in a post-performance basket donation. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to another local non-profit organization, AVANZAR, formerly known as Atlantic County's The Women's Center, dedicated to empowering individuals and families by working to secure their physical safety, emotional well-being, and individual freedom.

NOIR: The 3D/4D Semi- Cinematic Satirical Thriller, performed live on-stage and on-screen, features 3D projection and 4D immersive and interactive special effects, including; wind, mist, scent, bubbles, seat sensors, and more.
3rd Annual New Jersey Fringe Festival Kicks Off Today!

Today is the official kickoff to the 3rd Annual New Jersey Fringe Festival, known to many as "Jersey Fringe." By sunset the entire Downtown of Hammonton will transform into a 3-day street fair and theatrical marathon, filled with live music, interactive pop-up art, food vendors and a craft beer and wine garden.

Eagle Theatre Meets with Facebook Founder Mark Zuckerberg Launch of New Division, Social Eagle

Representatives from the Eagle Theatre just returned from a trip to Facebook Headquarters in California, and met with Facebook Founder, Mark Zuckerberg. In 2014, Facebook hand-selected Jim Donio, Ed Corsi and Ted Wioncek III from the Eagle Theatre to be part of its Inaugural National Small Business Council, a unique collection of small businesses from all over the country that provides constructive feedback on new Facebook products and solutions. Through this program, Donio, Corsi and Wioncek learn directly from the top executives at Facebook, and Facebook learns from them.
