CATS. You either love it or hate it. Debuting on the West End in 1981 and adapted by Lloyd Webber from the 1939 poetry collection 'Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats' by T.S. Eliot, the Broadway production ran for 18 years and currently sits as the fourth longest running show of all time on Broadway.

The Fever Syndrome by Alexis Zegerman, directed by Hampstead Theatre's Artistic Director, Roxana Silbert, will run from 18 March until 23 April. The Fellowship by Roy Williams, directed by Paulette Randall, will run from 17 June until 23 July.

In 1955 Michael Tippett introduced his first opera The Midsummer Marriage to a grey, post-war society desperate for some joy and optimism. It has divided the critics, with detractors pointing to the awkward libretto and fans in raptures with the sumptuous score. It is certainly a huge piece for the London Philharmonic Orchestra's new Principal Conductor, Edward Gardner, to conduct as his debut. However, the result was enthralling.

Eliot and starring Lisa Ramirez in a bravura solo performance will stream starting Thursday, April 29 at 8 p.m. (Pacific), and be available for viewers on demand through May 19, it has been announced by Oakland Theater Project, where Ms. Ramirez has been performing the newly-adapted, hourlong play in a parking lot, accompanied by an original soundtrack, video and multimedia.
