Hadestown, the winner of eight 2019 Tony Awards including Best New Musical and the 2020 Grammy Award for Best Musical Theater Album, will come to DPAC February 22 – 27, 2022, as part of Truist Broadway’s new season.

It is mere coincidence that Anaïs Mitchell’s remarkable, Tony Award-winning Hadestown, now being given a solid production at the Kennedy Center’s Opera House, debuted on Broadway just before our twenty-month plague began, but it fits. Mitchell’s story is at bottom a moral call to arms, which cleverly mines the saddest tale in all of mythology and marries it to a still older myth – one which was designed to explain the seasons.

Tickets will go on sale to the general public on Friday, Oct. 15 at 10 a.m. Presented by the New Orleans Theatre Association, Hadestown is part of the Hancock Whitney Broadway in New Orleans 2021-2022 season.

Hadestown, the winner of eight 2019 Tony Awards including Best New Musical and the 2020 Grammy Award for Best Musical Theater Album, will come to Detroit in 2021. As part of the 2021-22 Broadway in Detroit Subscription Season, the show will play the Fisher Theatre, November 23 – December 5, 2021.

This fall marks the return of Broadway In Boston performances in the city of Boston.  Hadestown, the winner of eight 2019 Tony Awards including Best New Musical and the 2020 Grammy Award for Best Musical Theater Album will be the first production to welcome theatergoers back to the Citizens Bank Opera House.

Joining the Broadway cast for a limited engagement will be Tony Award nominee Tom Hewitt. Hewitt will play the role of Hades until original Broadway cast member and Tony Award nominee Patrick Page, who is in production for a new film project, returns on Tuesday, November 2.

ThreeTimesFast, a new musical by Teresa Lotz and Naomi Matlow, held industry readings on February 3rd and 4th, 2020 in New York City. ThreeTimesFast features music by Teresa Lotz, lyrics by Naomi Matlow, and book by Lotz and Matlow. The reading was directed by Michael Bello (Summer: The Donna Summer Musical, We Are The Tigers), with music direction by Elizabeth Doran (Mean Girls) and dramaturgy by Jessica Kahkoska (Agent 355). Stage Management was by Helen Irene Muller, with casting by Kate Lumpkin Casting.

Adirondack Theatre Festival Producing Artistic Director, Chad Rabinovitz, announces the second show of the season, The Enlightenment of Percival Von Schmootz. The show runs July 5 - 13, 2019 at the Charles R. Wood Theater in Downtown Glens Falls, NY. The leading professional theatre in the Capital Region, ATF is dedicated to new plays and musicals, the season runs June 14 - August 9, 2019 with all performances at the Charles R. Wood Theater.

Broadway Records announced today that the world premiere recording of CLEOPATRA The Musical Experience, will be released digitally and in stores on Friday, July 12, 2019. The album is currently available for pre-order at BroadwayRecords.com and on Amazon.

Preston Max Allen's WE ARE THE TIGERS Off-Broadway run had music and lyrics that were fully realized and demanded to be recorded. Midnight Theatricals celebrates opening night of for WE ARE THE TIGERS, the original pop/rock musical and teen horror comedy written & composed by Preston Max Allen and produced by S. Asher Gelman, that will made its New York Premiere Off-Broadway at Theater 80 (80 St. Mark's Place). Michael Bello directs the pitch-black comedy about a dismally low-ranking team of cheerleaders trying to survive the night while being terrorized by a serial killer. Music supervision and arrangements are by Patrick Sulken.
