HISTORY MATTERS/BACK TO THE FUTURE presents an evening of scenes from women's plays of the past, performed by renowned actors April Matthis (Lear; The Sound and the Fury; April Seventh, 1928), Maryann Plunkett (Blue Valentine, The Apple Family Plays) and Jay O. Sanders (Blindspot, The Apple Family Plays) directed by Joan Vail Thorne, founder of History Matters/Back to the Future.

Theater fills the Lackland Performing Arts Center as Centenary Stage Company announces its 2018/19 professional theater line-up.  This season's main stage professional theater series includes four exciting CSC productions ranging from horror to a world premiere, from a spectacular musical to a timely relevant classical text. The season launches with Bram Stoker's classic horror Dracula adapted and directed by Charles Morey. The season continues with the rolling world premiere of Apples in Winter by Jennifer Fawcett. CSC's Family Holiday Spectacular returns with everyone's favorite orphan in Annie: The Musical. Finally, theatre luminaries Randall Duk Kim and Anne Occhiogrosso return to present John Alan Wyatt's translation of Henrik Ibsen's An Enemy of the People. Centenary Stage Company's Women Playwrights Series also returns and new for 2018/19 season Centenary Stage Company will be presenting the Gates Ferry Series: "What is Truth?" led by guest artists Randall Duk Kim and Anne Occhiogrosso.

It is 1968.  From opposing disciplines and very different worlds, Kate and Henry are forced to share a lab together in the midst of a campus devolving into political chaos, in Jacqueline Bircher's "Another Revolution", which will be the final presentation of the 2018 Centenary Stage Company Women Playwrights Series on Wednesday, Apr 25 at 7:30 PM in the Lackland Performing Arts Center in Hackettstown.  

It was just announced by Pulitzer Prize Administrator Dana Canedy that Martyna Majok's COST OF LIVING has officially won the 2018 Pulitzer Prize for Drama.

Centenary Stage Company's World Premier of Michelle Kholos Brooks' Hitler's Tasters continues its run in the Lackland Performing Arts Center now through April 22 and audiences and critics alike have fallen in love. "Making this world premiere particularly special are the performances of the four young women. Based on a true story, the second play in the Centenary Stage Company's Women Playwright Series tells the harrowing story of a family caught up in the Cuban revolution of the 1950s, torn between idealism and survival.

Inspired by the true story, Michelle Kholos Brooks' Hitler's Tasters will make its world premiere at Centenary Stage Company April 6 through April 22 in the Lackland Performing Arts Center. Directed by Sarah Norris, Hitler's Tasters features Jennifer Robbins, Emaline Williams, Ally Borgstrom and Brianna Morris. 

The popular Women Playwright Series is back at Centenary Stage, with three exciting new plays about Cuba, the 1936 Berlin Olympics and a transformational moment in American history.  

Portland Stage presents The Niceties by award-winning playwright Eleanor Burgess, an exciting new voice in theater. In this riveting two-person drama Zoe, a black student, and Janine, her white professor, meet to discuss their differing views on Zoe's paper about slavery and the American Revolution. This polite clash of ideas soon landslides into an explosive discussion of race, history, privilege, and social justice.

Inspired by the life and work of the American poet Emily Dickinson, The Depot Theatre in Marrickville presents the (lost) American classic and Pulitzer Prize winner, ALISON'S HOUSE by Susan Glaspell. Motivated by a desire to bring iconic, but neglected plays written by women into contemporary consciousness, ALISON'S HOUSE is an integral part of Depot's 2018 Season, playing 8pm Wed-Fri, 2pm and 8pm Sat, 4 - 21 April 2018.

Phil Daniels will lead the company in the titular role of Robert Louis Stevenson's Dr Jekyll & Mr Hyde at the King's Theatre Edinburgh, Tuesday 10 - Saturday 14 April 2018, in this new production, adapted by David Edgar and directed by Kate Saxon.

Touring Consortium Theatre Company and Rose Theatre Kingston today announce the full company for Robert Louis Stevenson's Dr Jekyll & Mr Hyde adapted for the stage by David Edgar. Joining the previously announced Phil Daniels as Jekyll/Hyde are Rosie Abraham (Lucy/Maid/Singer), Sam Cox (Poole), Polly Frame (Katherine Urquart), Anyebe Godwin (Charles), Ben Jones (Lanyon/Carew), Robin Kingsland (Gabriel John Utterson), Grace Hogg-Robinson (Annie Loder) and Matthew Romain (Enfield/Parson).
