On Saturday, December 9, 2023, the Broadway Dreams Foundation ('Broadway Dreams') honored prolific producer of television, film, and Broadway, Robert Greenblatt at their 16th Annual Gala held at The Plaza Hotel in New York City.  See photos from the evening below.

On Saturday July 22, BroadwayCon visitors were treated to a panel titled “Livestreams and Captures and Proshots, Oh My!” moderated by Bonnie Comley, president of the Drama League’s Board of Directors and a co-founder of BroadwayHD, the premier streaming service for live theater.

The panel: Livestreams and Captures and ProShots, oh my! is Moderated by BroadwayHD’s Founder Bonnie Comley and features 12-time Emmy Award winner Don Roy King, Olivier and Tony-winning Alia Harvey Jones, and Palace Theater owner Stewart F. Lane.

Anita Durst, the founder of ChaShaMa, held a two-day celebration to honor theater streaming service BroadwayHD, Bonnie Comley & Stewart F. Lane, and Gary Rosenberg of Rosenberg & Estis, P.C.

Chita danced onto the stage at the Skirball Center to present the Chita Rivera Lifetime Achievement Award to her friend and collaborator, 96-year-old John Kander.

On May 3, 2023, the Central Park Women's Committee had their hats in tow at the 41st annual Olmsted Luncheon, also called 'the hat luncheon.' The event took place in the Conservatory Garden where over 1,300 members and friends gathered (with their best hats in hand, of course!). The luncheon this year raised over 4 million dollars in supporting and maintaining Central Park this year!

Nominations for the 2023 Chita Rivera Awards were announced just last week, and will be presented on May 22nd at 7:30pm at the NYU Skirball Center for the Performing Arts. A reception was held for the nominees last night, May 2, and BroadwayWorld was there. Check out photos here!

Lane rode on a block-long float in a Mardi Gras parade, tossing beads and doubloons into a crowd of thousands, while on route to meet the Mayor. Known for some of the best live music venues in the world, New Orleans recognizes the value of live entertainment so it's no surprise that Mayor LaToya Cantrell would celebrate Comley and Lane with a Key to the City.
