Washington Stage Guild Announces 34th Season

Washington Stage Guild announces its 34th season, dedicated to plays by and about some of the past two centuries' greatest writers. The season will feature one of GB Shaw's most beloved plays, an adaptation of a classic novel by Charles Dickens, a play set in Dublin on Bloomsday when James Joyce's Ulysses takes place, and a play in which a 20th century intellectual giant encounters a physical one.  The Washington Stage Guild's 2019-2020 season will be a feast of language and thought that honors these storytellers in thrillingly theatrical ways.

Out Of Box Theatre Announces 2019/20 Season

Out of Box Theatre announces its 8th Season of intimate, thought-provoking and unexpected theatre. The season begins in August, 2019 with award-winning playwright Topher Payne's new hysterical farce, Entertaining Lesbians, which Payne directs as part of Out of Box's new Beta Test Performance Series bring new works by local playwrights to the stage. 

Casting Announced For CABARET At San Francisco Playhouse

San Francisco Playhouse announced casting for Cabaret, the Tony Award-winning musical that will close the company's 2018/19 Season. Susi Damilano will direct, with music direction by Dave Dobrusky and choreography by Nicole Helfer.

Evans, announces its 45th season, opening with Mother of the Maid by Jane Anderson, directed by BJ Jones and featuring Kate Fry. The season continues with the World Premiere of The Wickhams: Christmas at Pemberley, a companion piece to Miss Bennet: Christmas at Pemberley by Lauren Gunderson and Margot Melcon, directed by Jessica Thebus; followed by the World Premiere of How A Boy Falls, by Steven Dietz, directed by BJ Jones; and Lynn Nottage's Intimate Apparel. Closing out the season is Songs for Nobodies by Joanna Murray-Smith, directed by Rob Lindley, featuring Bethany Thomas.

Promethean Theatre Ensemble will close its 2018-19 season with the Midwest Premiere of MAD BEAT HIP & GONE, by Steven Dietz, author of LAST OF THE BOYS and PRIVATE EYES and over thirty other plays that have been produced by regional theatres across the country, internationally, and off-Broadway in New York. MAD BEAT HIP & GONE, which had its world premiere in Austin, Texas in 2013, follows two young Nebraska men who meet beat generation writer Jack Kerouac. Rejecting the established order of mid-1950s America, they follow Kerouac's example and hit the open road in search of truth. Do they find it? And what can we learn from their travels?
