Trinity Repertory Company is celebrating the 40th anniversary of its holiday production, A Christmas Carol, this year.

Trinity Rep announces a special addition to this year's 40th anniversary production of A Christmas Carol. As part of its ongoing efforts to forge deeper connections with The Rhode Island community, Trinity Rep has invited 18 different community groups to perform in every public performance of this year's production.Celebrating the community-driven spirit of Southern New England's favorite holiday tradition, co-directors Angela Brazil and Stephen Thorne are excited to invite these groups on stage to share in the spotlight. Each community group will perform in three consecutive performances throughout the course of the run of the show.  A Christmas Carol will run November 9 - December 31, 2017, with acting company member Joe Wilson, Jr. in the role of miserly businessman Ebenezer Scrooge. Trinity Repertory Company sings out its 52nd season with an entertaining, high-energy production of Rodgers and Hammerstein's OKLAHOMA! The show is a fitting conclusion to Trinity's year-long "Rebels, Renegades, and Pioneers" theme as it celebrates the trailblazing spirit of the Oklahoma Territory's early settlers in story and song.

Trinity's TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD is unquestionably a must-see performance this spring and, a scarce three months into the new year, can easily be considered in the running for best production of 2016.

Trinity Rep continues its 52nd season Rebels, Renegades and Pioneers with To Kill a Mockingbird, based on the novel by Harper Lee, adapted by Christopher Sergel and a special limited run presentation of companion piece Blues for Mister Charlie, by James Baldwin. Both productions are directed by Brian McEleney and feature the same cast. The productions will be performed in limited rotating repertory.

Rhode Island's theater community had much to celebrate in 2015.  Outstanding productions graced stages from the East Bay to South County, up-and-coming theatrical companies left their mark on the arts scene, and excellent concerts and dance events made for some of the best performances of the year.
