Spiro Veloudos remounts one of his favorite productions in celebration of his 20 years as Producing Artistic Director.

Florence Foster Jenkins' life was a once in a lifetime phenomenon. Meryl played the part in the movie with Simon Helberg (better known as Howard in THE BIG BANG THEORY) portraying her accompanist Cosme McMoon.

Walnut Street Theatre's 2017-2018 Independence Studio on 3 season opens with Broadway's tribute to a woman of song, SOUVENIR, A FANTASIA ON THE LIFE OF FLORENCE FOSTER JENKINS. The Granite Theatre of Westerly, announces the opening of Stephen Temperley's comedy with music 'Souvenir' the hilarious, true story of Florence Foster Jenkins, the infamous grand dame of the 1930's high society and arguably one of the worst singing voices of all time. It was a very recent highly acclaimed movie that starred Meryl Streep and Hugh Grant. The show opens Friday May 26, 2017 and runs Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm and Sundays at 2pm through June 18, 2017. Producer/ Artistic Director for the theatre is David Jepson. The Lyric Stage Company of Boston announces the final two plays to complete the 2017-18 Season, Spiro Veloudos' 20th Season as Producing Artistic Director.

With "Taking Sides" by Ron Harwood the Granite Theatre is stretching into even greater, more challenging contemporary works of theatre allowing the audience to enjoy the depth of artistic experience of great theatre and the breadth of skills of our performers.  It's a riveting show guaranteed to remain the topic of conversation for all audiences.  Post-show the audience can meet the actors and director to discuss this thought provoking piece of theatre. Catskill's Bridge Street Theatre is delighted to announce its 2017 line-up of plays - five magnificent, warmly human stories for audiences to savor between March and November. Scheduled for BST's second Mainstage Subscription Season are:

Milwaukee Repertory Theater Artistic Director Mark Clements and Managing Director Chad Bauman are pleased to announce the 2017/18 Season with 13 productions in four venues spanning September 2017 - May 2018.  With the start of the 2017/18 Season both Artistic Director Mark Clements and Managing Director Chad Bauman will renew their contracts with Milwaukee Rep for an additional four and six years respectively.  Artistic Director Mark Clements began his tenure at Milwaukee Rep in 2010 by introducing a musical into the Quadracci Powerhouse season, creating the New Play Development program, and adapting and directing the world premiere production of A Christmas Carol this past December.   With this contract renewal through 2021 he will continue his commitment to presenting world class works on all three stages.    Managing Director Chad Bauman came to The Rep in 2013 and will continue through 2023 per his contract renewal.  In his time here he has implemented a fruitful strategic business model that supports the theater's artistic vision with a focus on quality, inclusion, citizenship, innovation, and stability.

Cotuit Center for the Arts' critically acclaimed production of "Souvenir: A Fantasia on the Life of Florence Foster Jenkins," a comedy by Stephen Temperley, will be presented at the Provincetown Theater for six performances only , August 5 through 14.
