Jazz music will be blooming this spring on both stages at Uptown! Knauer Performing Arts Center. The Chester County performing arts venue is set to welcome multiple artists to its two intimate settings, hosted by Sara Michaels and the Jazz Cocktail Hour Series.

The Doo Wop Project, featuring stars of Broadway's hits Jersey Boys, Motown: The Musical and Chazz Palminteri's A Bronx Tale, pays homage to the sounds they love by performing renditions of doo wop classics, as well as “doo wop-ifying” modern day favorites!

Legendary GRAMMY-winning singer-songwriter Smokey Robinson has released his new single “How You Make Me Feel” across all streaming platforms. A traditional and timeless R&B love song, “How You Make Me Feel,” stays true to the Smokey that we have come to know and love. The new nine-track album is Smokey’s first solo album in almost a decade.

An iconic form of American music takes center stage as The Doo Wop Project comes to Popejoy Hall for one performance on April 1, 2023, 8:00 pm. In their third appearance at Popejoy, the group traces the evolution of doo-wop from its humble beginnings to the artists who made it famous, and even treats audiences to reinterpretations of today's hits with a doo-wop spin.

The Warner Theatre has announced that Rock and Roll Hall of Fame member RICKY BYRD (formerly of Joan Jett & The Blackhearts) will headline the next STUDIO SESSION @ NMST with support by Seth Adam, Saturday, April 8 at 8 pm in the Nancy Marine Studio Theatre.

The Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra and Cincinnati Pops announced details for the 2023-24 season, Louis Langrée’s eleventh and final season as Music Director of the Orchestra.

Musical artists will join the national library and American leaders to honor music legend Joni Mitchell. The lineup will include performances by James Taylor, Brandi Carlile, Annie Lennox, Herbie Hancock, Cyndi Lauper, Marcus Mumford, Graham Nash, Diana Krall and Angelique Kidjo. The concert is by invitation only.

Howard Bomar was a man who slipped through everybody’s fingers. His artistry escapes that fate with the release of I, Who Have Nothing, available from Sundazed Music on LP and CD with bonus tracks. After getting her start performing in coffee shops and nightclubs in her native Canada, Mitchell would go on to set a new standard marrying music and lyrics. With such songs as “Both Sides, Now,” “Chelsea Morning,” “Big Yellow Taxi,” “Woodstock” and “The Circle Game,” Mitchell became a household name.

It seems appropriate that the musical AIN’T TOO PROUD - THE LIFE AND TIMES OF THE TEMPTATIONS, like the band its story tells, is consistently entertaining, and full of impressive musical performances. Playing through January 8th at the San Diego Civic Theatre by Broadway San Diego.
