Berkshire Theatre Group (BTG) and Kate Maguire (Artistic Director, CEO) are thrilled to announce Berkshire Theatre's 2020 Summer Season, with a casting sneak-peek. BTG will be releasing a complete season cast announcement at a later date.

Sundance Institute's Theatre Program will support three ambitious new works for the stage, and their four women creators, at this year's two-week Theatre Lab at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art (MASS MoCA). The Lab, which runs from November 10 to November 24th, will feature the concentrated and abundant time and resources, including individual casting from a dedicated acting company and daily rehearsals, that has long been a signature of Sundance's Labs.

Letters to the President reimagines this archival canon of letters as a multi-composer song cycle, with each song inspired by an individual letter in the archive.

PIE SHOP PLAY opened with a splash on at the Paradise Factory on East 4th Street on Friday July 20th. The new play written by Alice Pencavel and directed by Sivan Battat is a maximalist theatrical event to tell the story of two sisters, Agnes and Kitty, who find their big dreams derailed when a disaster strikes their pie shop. Corkscrew Theater Festival presents Pie Shop Play, written by Alice Pencavel and directed by Sivan Battat. Running July 20-29, Pie Shop Play concerns two sisters whose big dreams are derailed when the pipes in their pie shop burst, leaking toxic unknowns that rob them of coherent speech. As the shop slowly floods, buried trauma, and secrets pour forth as well, forcing the sisters to work it out (through garbled English) before they drown. Performed by Devin Kessler, Futaba Shioda*, Kaylee Simonson, Eliza Simpson*, and Madame Vivien V, Pie Shop Play is the third production in the second annual season of Corkscrew Theater Festival, a new summer theater festival that provides early-career artists with a high level of production support.

FEINSTEIN'S/54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club, presents Simone Allen in The Songs of Simone Allen on January 27th, 2018 at 11:30 PM. Simone Allen (Broadway Stands Up For Freedom/NYMF's Women of Note) makes her Feinstein's/54 Below debut in The Songs of Simone Allen. Simone presents a night of original singer/songwriter material as well as songs from her current musical theater project, Underground. The Riant Theatre (Van Dirk Fisher, Artistic Director), a nonprofit theatre providing a nurturing environment to playwrights and theatremakers of diverse cultural backgrounds, proudly presents the 29th Season of the Strawberry One-Act and Theatre Festival. The festival opens on July 14th and runs through July 31st. Each evening will feature a program of one to four plays out of twenty-nine one-act works presented in competition, and on selected evenings, one of five full-length plays. All performances are presented at the Theatre at St. Clement's (423 West 46th Street, between 9th and 10th Avenue, NYC).
