The Merry-Go-Round Playhouse has announced the return of Sandra Karas to The Playhouse stage in the role of Mother Superior in "Nunsense," the final production of the 2012 Finger Lakes Musical Theatre Festival season, now playing through October 20. The Merry-Go-Round Playhouse has announced the return of Sandra Karas to the Playhouse stage in the role of Mother Superior in "Nunsense," the final production of the 2012 Finger Lakes Musical Theatre Festival season. Karas, who serves as secretary and treasurer of the Actors' Equity Association, most recently appeared as Fraulein Schneider in "Cabaret" at the Playhouse in August. Karas resides in New York City, but was a resident of Manlius for many years. She has been seen in numerous productions at the Playhouse including Sister Lee in "Do Black Patent Leather Shoes Really Reflect Up?, Vivian in "Church Basement Ladies 2: A Second Helping" and Tottendale in "The Drowsy Chaperone."

Actors' Equity Association (Equity), the Union which represents more than 49,000 working stage actors and stage managers nationwide, today announced the election results for the 8 officers and 17 National Council seats. Nick Wyman, Paige Price, Rebecca Kim Jordan, Ira Mont and Sandra Karas ran uncontested for the offices of President, First Vice President, Second Vice President, Third Vice President and Secretary-Treasurer, respectively.
