Kokandy Productions is launching its Tenth Anniversary Season this summer with the Chicago storefront premiere of Cruel Intentions: The ’90 Musical, a flirty and fun, nostalgia-packed show laced with hits from ‘90s including No Doubt, Jewel, Britney Spears, Garbage and many more.

This “fun, sexy, and seductive” show (laced with hits from No Doubt, Jewel, Britney Spears, Garbage and more) will have audiences grooving along to the infamous bittersweet symphony.

On-demand streaming access to CRUEL INTENTIONS: THE ‘90S MUSICAL, LIVE IN CONCERT has been extended by three weeks due to popular demand. There will be a virtual cast watch party on Sunday, January 16, at 8PM ET, offering fans the opportunity to interact with the cast and creatives, including star Janel Parrish.

After rotting in prison for over a decade, America’s ultimate hero and patriot MacGruber is finally released. His mission: to take down a mysterious villain from his past. The cast of the series featured Will Forte, Kristen Wiig, Sam Elliott, Billy Zane, Ryan Phillippe, Laurence Fishburne, and more. The series is based on the popular SNL sketch.

Tony Award-winning producer Eva Price has announced a one-night-only event, CRUEL INTENTIONS: THE ‘90S MUSICAL, LIVE IN CONCERT will be presented on Sunday, December 19, 2021 for a live audience at The Bourbon Room in Los Angeles, and streamed worldwide on Stellar.

The series stars Will Forte (MacGruber), Kristen Wiig (Vicki St. Elmo), Ryan Phillippe (Dixon Piper), Sam Elliott (Perry), Laurence Fishburne (General Barrett Fasoose), Billy Zane (Brigadier Commander Enos Queeth), Joseph Lee Anderson (Major Harold Kernst), and Timothy V. The SHU Community Theatre will present a month of film programming in November. Thursday, Nov. 4 & Friday, Nov. 5 at 7 p.m.: The Auschwitz Report. The harrowing true story of Freddy and Walter, two young Slovak Jews deported to Auschwitz in 1942.

This nostalgia-fuelled '90s party, perfectly combines everything audiences love about the original film, complete with a banging soundtrack of chart-topping hits including The Verve's Bittersweet Symphony and other throwback classics by Boyz II Men, Christina Aguilera, Backstreet Boys, Goo Goo Dolls, *NSYNC, and, of course, Britney Spears.  

Sarah Goodman and Phoebe Fisher are set to pen the series. Fisher is currently writing the pilot with Goodman supervising. If the show is picked up, then the two would write the series together.
