The Huntington Theatre Company will present the new comedy Tiger Style! by Mike Lew and directed by Tony Award nominee, Moritz von Stuelpnagel (Hand to God on Broadway). Performances begin Friday, October 14 and continue through November 13, 2016 at the South End / Calderwood Pavilion at the BCA. 

The Alliance Theatre has announced its world premiere production of Tiger Style!  From Mike Lew, the award-winning playwright of Bike America, comes a hilarious new play about family influence and finding personal success without an academic framework.  The Alliance's production, directed by Tony Award nominee Moritz von Stuelpnagel, runs on the Alliance Stage from September 30 - October 18, 2015.  This production marks the first time that a past winner of the Alliance/Kendeda National Graduate Playwriting Competition has returned for a world premiere on the main stage.     

FIREBONE THEATRE is pleased to announce the casting for the world premiere production of Don Nguyen's RED FLAMBOYANT, directed by Laura Savia. RED FLAMBOYANT, winner of the Aurora GAP prize, finalist for the Woodward International Playwriting Prize, finalist for the O'Neill National Playwrights Conference, participant in the Ojai Playwrights Festival, finalist for the Bay Area Playwrights Festival, and Nominated for the L. Arnold Weissberger Award, will play a limited engagement at Anderson Hall at Calvary St. George's (61 Gramercy Park North, New York, NY 10010). Performances begin Friday, April24 and continue through Saturday, May16. Opening Night is Saturday, April25 (8 p.m.).

Elliot Ortiz is back in the States after serving in Iraq, reconnecting with family and starting a new life. At the same time, four strangers in an internet chat room seek support to face demons of their own, and soon the real world and the virtual one start to intersect in unexpected ways. The Hartford Courant calls Water by the Spoonful "funny, warm, and uplifting, with characters that stay with you long after the play is over!" Water by the Spoonful runs through May 11, 2014 at the Sheryl and Harvey White Theatre (Conrad Prebys Theatre Center). BroadwyaWorld brings you a first look at the cast in action below!

The Old Globe today announced the complete cast and creative team for the California premiere of Quiara Alegria Hudes' Water by the Spoonful, winner of the 2012 Pulitzer Prize for Drama. Directed by Edward Torres, Water by the Spoonful will run April 12 - May 11, 2014 in the Sheryl and Harvey White Theatre, part of the Globe's Conrad Prebys Theatre Center. Preview performances run April 12 - April 16. Opening night is Thursday, April 17 at 8:00 p.m. Tickets can be purchased online at www.TheOldGlobe.org, by phone at (619) 23-GLOBE, or by visiting the Box Office at 1363 Old Globe Way in Balboa Park. In conjunction with local organizations Combat Arts and So Say We All, The Globe will also host an ongoing exhibit of art by returning veterans, and an evening of local veterans performing stories they have written about their service.
