Royal Family Productions will present a special invite-only reading of the musical Rock and Roll Refugee. Written by Chris Henry and Genya Ravan, directed by JoAnn Hunter with musical direction by Daniel A. CLEOPATRA, a unique Off-Broadway immersive pop musical experience, will begin performances tonight at Chelsea Music Hall (407 W 15th Street), a new venue located beneath Chelsea Market. Directed and choreographed by JT Horenstein, the new musical features music and lyrics by Jeff Daye and lyrics by Laura Kleinbaum. The premier offering of the new venue - which will officially opened to the public on Thursday, October 18 - CLEOPATRA will celebrate its opening night on Wednesday, November 7, 2018. Tickets are now on sale for the open-ended engagement Power. Seduction. Ruin. The legendary Queen of the Nile is throwing one of her famously lavish parties to celebrate the Empire's latest triumphs over Rome, and you are invited to attend. Inside the palace, drinks flow, and music seduces as guests are met with every indulgence. But outside the city walls, the alluring Marc Antony beckons, the nefarious Octavian lurks, and Cleopatra's enemies plot a violent end to her prosperous reign. The Queen better watch her back.

Producer Nathaniel Hill announced completed casting today for CLEOPATRA, a unique Off-Broadway immersive musical experience which will begin an open-ended residency at Chelsea Music Hall (407 W 15th Street), a new venue opening underneath Chelsea Market. Directed and choreographed by JT Horenstein, the new pop musical features music and lyrics by Jeff Daye and lyrics by Laura Kleinbaum. The premier offering of the new venue, which will officially open to the public in October, CLEOPATRA will begin performances on Tuesday, October 23, 2018 with an official opening night on Wednesday, November 7, 2018. Tickets are now on sale.

It is 1626 and a young d'Artagnan heads for Paris, determined to join the King's Musketeers. After befriending legendary Musketeers Athos, Aramis and Porthos, the four friends quickly become embroiled in a plot to ruin the honour of the Queen and threaten the stability of the entire French state. Set in atmospheric St Paul's Church in Covent Garden, a swashbuckling version of Alexander Dumas' classic tale The Three Musketeers is a captivating joy to watch.

Met Opera Appoints Matthew Rose As Artistic Consultant To The Lindemann Young Artist Development Program

Matthew Rose has been appointed as the Artistic Consultant to the Metropolitan Opera's Lindemann Young Artist Development Program, the company's elite program for artists on the cusp of international opera careers. An acclaimed bass, Matthew Rose has sung at leading opera houses around the world, including the Met, the Royal Opera, Covent Garden, Lyric Opera of Chicago, Deutsche Oper Berlin, and English National Opera. He is an advisory member of the Mahler Foundation and has coached young singers at the National Opera Studio and the Britten-Pears Young Artist Program. In his new role, he will work closely with the new director of the program, Sophie Joyce, to implement a series of one-on-one and group coaching sessions, as well as master classes.

This August, Jenny Horsthuis (Swift in Word, Corbett Theatre; Macbeth, St. Paul's Church; Inside Pussy Riot, Saatchi Gallery) will return to St. Paul's Church to star as the brave hero d'Artagnan in Iris Theatre's thrilling re-gendered The Three Musketeers. Also returning to St. Paul's is Matt Stubbs (A Serious Business, Pleasance Theatre/The Hat Factory; A Midsummer Night's Dream, Stafford Castle; Macbeth, St. Paul's Church) who will be playing Athos - one of the formidable musketeers. Completing the infamous trio are Albert De Jongh (The White Princess, Starz Network; As You Like It, Petersfield Shakespeare Festival; King John, Union Theatre) and Elliot Liburd (Bismillah: An ISIS Tragicomedy, Pleasance Theatre; The Girl With The Iron Claws, Dartington; Titus Andronicus, Fourth Monkey Theatre Company) who will be playing Aramis and Porthos respectively. They are joined by Ailsa Joy (Bad Jews, Theatre Royal Haymarket and UK Tour; Two Gentlemen of Verona, Guildford Shakespeare Company; TimePlays, Hampton Court Palace) as Milady and Bethan Rose Young (The Great Gatsby, Theatr Clwyd; Cosy, Millennium Centre Wales; Dead Born Grow, Frantic Assembly) as Constance. Stephan Boyce (Dangling, Southwark Playhouse; Thirst, The Space; Romeo & Juliet Unzipped, Salisbury Playhouse) who plays Treville, the moral leader of the Musketeers, will round off this stellar cast.

Theatr Clwyd, and Guild of Misrule today announce the full cast for an immersive production of The Great Gatsby in an adaptation from Alexander Wright. Opening at The Dolphin Hotel, prior to the building being extended and completely refurbished before re-opening in 2019, Wright will direct Oliver Towse in the role of Jay Gatsby and he will be joined by Matthew Churcher (George Wilson), Jake Ferretti (Tom Buchanan), Zoe Hakin (Jordan Baker), Michael Lambourne (Nick Carraway), Amie Burns Walker (Daisy) and Bethan Rose Young (Myrtle Wilson) alongside a nine-strong community chorus.

The 22nd annual Festival showcases a large ensemble of talented teen actors, five creative young writers, and two professional director mentors, Kevin Ehrhart and Autumn Simpson.
