The Entertainment and Performing Arts Industry Conference (EPIC) is thrilled to announce some of Broadway’s best to join a multi-national and highly regarded group of entertainment industry leaders to participate in the first-ever, 24-hour global online event for everyone working in, aspiring to work in, or wishing to explore the arts and entertainment sector.  

The Entertainment and Performing Arts Industry Conference (EPIC) features a stellar line up of Broadway luminaries alongside industry leaders from around the world. As the center of the theatrical universe, it’s natural and necessary that Broadway is well represented! EPIC presenters have won so many Tony’s and other Awards, it’s rare to get this many award winners in one place except the Tony’s themselves.

In a two-part interview with host Patrick Oliver Jones, Hicks shares his journey as an original cast member of Come From Away. He had been with the show from its beginning in Seattle, yet by the time the musical opened at the Schoenfeld Theatre, he knew something was wrong with his voice.

New York Theatre Barn will host a free live stream of its award-winning New Works Series on Wednesday, May 12th, 2021 at 7PM EST, featuring excerpts from the new musicals Hart Island and Cowboy Bob. The live 1-hour presentation will also feature a conversation with the writers and creative team.

Rhymes Over Beats Hip Hop Theater Collective is premiering its third new play for Black History Month, Rodney Hick’s MS. PEARL’S CABARET, as part of CreateTheater’s Monday Night Reading Series on Monday, February 22 at 7PM/EST, 4PM/PST. This Zoom reading is directed by DeMone Seraphin. The reading will  stay available to the public until Friday, February 26.

The Tennessee Williams & New Orleans Literary Festival returns for its 35th annual celebration of contemporary literature, culture, theater, and the works of Tennessee Williams. The 2021 Festival will offer two consecutive weekends of virtual programming in March: a Writer’s Retreat followed by a weekend of traditional events presented online.

The first-ever New Works Virtual Festival kicks off tonight! Every evening from December 5th - 25th of 2020 at 8PM EST/5PM PT, the New Works Virtual Festival will stream video readings of 20 new scripts of non-musical pieces (19 plays, 1 teleplay) as well as an 21st (a 'Christmas Special') featuring the work of a diverse group of writers and all-star cast members.

The National Alliance for Musical Theatre has announced that the public can attend NAMT's 32nd Annual FESTIVAL OF NEW MUSICALS by making a donation to NAMT ($30 donation for one day / $50 donation for both days).

The New Works Virtual Festival will stream 20 new non-musical scripts every day from December 4th - 24th of 2020 (19 plays, 1 teleplay) featuring the work of a diverse group of writers and all-star cast members. A 21st piece will be selected from holiday-themed submissions to be streamed on December 25th.

The Scottsboro Boys opened on Broadway 10 years ago today, on October 31, 2010.  Director Susan Stroman, David Thompson (writer) and the Original Broadway Cast reunited to talk about the experience, and perform one of the signature songs from the show 'Commencing In Chattanooga.'
