Spring has sprung and Bay Street Theatre is proud to announce its' star-filled summer line-up, with celebrities and productions to suit a variety of tastes. From New York City witches to a dinner party from hell, from Dames at Sea to the musical talents of Michael Feinstein and Betty Buckley on shore-the Bay Street stage promises to be aglow in summer fun.

Caldwell's Spotlight Award is presented to an artist who has devoted a lifetime of distinguished service to the arts while advancing the art of theater. Past recipients of the Spotlight Award include Len Cariou, Nehemiah Persoff, Julie Harris, Christopher Reeve, Roddy McDowall, Cliff Robertson and Charles Nelson Reilly.

The Tony Award-winning Manhattan Theatre Club (Peter J. Solomon, Chairman of the Board; Lynne Meadow, Artistic Director; Barry Grove, Executive Producer) dedicated its Broadway theatre the 'Samuel J. Friedman Theatre' on Thursday, September 4. The ceremony began at the theatre (261 West 47th Street at 8th Avenue) . MTC previously announced that it was renaming its Broadway home, until now known as the Biltmore Theatre, the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre in recognition of the pioneering Broadway publicist.

Award-winning musical director, Paul Gemignani, will lead the New York Philharmonic's semi-staged performances of Lerner and Loewe's Camelot directed by Lonny Price on May 7 and Thursday, May 8, 2008, at 7:30PM, and Friday, May 9, and Saturday, May 10 at 2PM (newly added) and 8PM. The Thursday, May 8 performance will be broadcast 'Live from Lincoln Center' nation-wide on PBS.

Lerner and Loewe's Camelot will be presented by the New York Philharmonic in four semi-staged performances, Wednesday, May 7 and Thursday, May 8, 2008, at 7:30PM, and Friday, May 9, and Saturday, May 10 at 8PM. The musical - a New York Philharmonic premiere - will be directed by Lonny Price. Thomas Z. Shepard is the producer. Casting and additional production credits will be announced at a future date.
