Performances begin today for Dear Evan Hansen in London, officially launching the fourth company to date.To commemorate the occasion, check out a never-before-heard arrangement of 'For Forever.'

All we see is sky because the four Evans from the Tony-winning Dear Evan Hansen's Broadway, Tour, London, and Toronto productions are giving us special performance of 'For Forever.' This coming weekend, audiences have the chance to experience some of the most beautiful music ever written, performed by some of the top musicians in Canada. The Niagara Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of Bradley Thachuk, presents: WEST SIDE STORY IN CONCERT as part of the POPS! Series. Joining the Symphony are some big names in Canadian musical theatre: Robert Markus, fresh off his celebrated performance as Evan Hansen in Mirvish's Canadian premiere of DEAR EVAN HANSEN is performing the role of Tony. Soulpepper Theatre vet Meher Pavri is Mariaa?"a role she has played before to rave reviews at the Lower Ossington Theatre in Toronto and with the Windsor Symphony Orchestra. Playing Riff, is the very talented Sayer Roberts, who starred alongside Mr. Markus last year in the Stratford Festival's THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW; Stratford, Shaw, and Broadway star Kaylee Harwood is portraying Anita, and accomplished soprano, Charlotte Knight is reprising the role of Rosalia after recently singing the part with the Windsor Symphony Orchestra.

Rich or poor, the whole family will be hood-winked by Ross Petty Productions' original musical, LIL' RED ROBIN HOOD this holiday season. After 23 years of holiday cheer in Toronto's historic Elgin Theatre, Ross Petty Productions' 2019/20 Family Musical is moving to the Winter Garden Theatre on the 6th Floor of the same venue. The Winter Garden has a uniquely magical forest setting that inspired the creation of our brand-new 24th production, LIL' RED ROBIN HOOD, onstage November 29, 2019 to January 4, 2020.

Alan Menken, the Oscar, Tony and Grammy Award-winning composer of such Disney classics as The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast and Aladdin, will headline Stratford's Meighen Forum on October 13 for an exclusive musical showcase.

As I took my seat in the lobby of Stratford's Festival Theatre on Monday night, the eager patron next to me leaned in and proclaimed a?oeThere is quite the buzz in here!a?? She was absolutely right. We had both arrived early enough to grab seats for WHY WE TELL THE STORY: A CELEBRATION OF AFRICAN-AMERICAN MUSICAL THEATRE--A much anticipated cabaret event conceived by Festival actor Marcus Nance who can currently be seen in LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS and BILLY ELLIOT. After initially selling out months before the Festival season even began, the high demand of this show led to more chairs being added and eventually to 'standing room only' tickets being sold so that as many people as possible could witness what indeed turned out to be a magical night of words and song.

It's time to step into the sun because Dear Evan Hansen's first international Evan, Robert Markus, is performing the show's classic song 'Waving Through the Window' in a special acoustic rendition. Check out the full video!

At a press conference held May 28 in the Davies Takacs Lobby of the Elgin and Winter Garden Theatre Centre, the Toronto Alliance for the Performing Arts (TAPA) announced 282 nominations for the 40th Anniversary Dora Mavor Moore Awards, which recognize excellence in professional theatre, dance and opera in Toronto. On Tuesday, June 25 at the Sony Centre for the Performing Arts, 49 Dora Mavor Moore Awards, the Silver Ticket Award and the Jon Kaplan Audience Choice Award will be presented.

The Toronto production of DEAR EVAN HANSEN, which has recently extended into the fall, will now close early, on July 21st. The production will have played for 20 weeks, including preview performances.

Dear Evan Hansen will now call Toronto home through September 29, 2019, it was announced today. The Tony Award-winning musical, which opened at the historic Royal Alexandra Theatre on March 28, 2019 and was originally on sale through June 30, has been extended due to popular demand.  A new block of 119,424 tickets, July 2 - September 29, are now on sale.
