The musical will be presented in concert at The Green Room 42 on Sunday, November 19th at 1pm.

Flat Rock Playhouse (FRP) announced that it has named Robert “Lex” Green, III as its new Managing Director. He will partner with Artistic Director Lisa K. Bryant who will continue to lead all artistic and educational programming. Green will lead key business functions including finance, marketing, development, facilities, and new strategic ventures.

St. Louis's wonderful Winter Opera closes it's thirteenth season with a fine production of a rarely-seen work by Puccini--La fanciulla del West, or The Girl of the Golden West. Now Puccini was fond of choosing exotic settings for his operas--look at Madama Butterfly and Turandot. Well, to a European, Fanciulla is equally exotic. It's set in a mining camp in the Sierra Nevadas during the California Gold Rush of 1848.

Born out of the celebrations for the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare's death in 2016, Ben Elton's sit-com Upstart Crow went on to have three series and multiple Christmas specials. It follows William Shakespeare, who's by now rather well-known in London, as he attempts to write his notorious body of work pinching ideas here and there and taking credit for quotes that aren't his, scribbling away whenever his nearest and dearest say something clever for future use.

Billy Crystal has his sights set on Broadway! According to Variety, the stage and screen veteran is at work on a musicalized version of his 1992 film, Mr. Saturday Night. "It's a great character and now I don't need the makeup!" Crystal told Variety. "It's coming along very well. The funny is always there but the depth and the humanity is even stronger, based on what we learned from the reaction to the movie over the years."
