As we previously reported, Roger Rees, the legendary, Tony Award-winning actor, and Tony Award nominated director, passed away last night at his home in New York City, after a brief journey with cancer. His husband,Rick Elice, and family and friends were at his side.

Broadway-turned-country/pop star Rachel Potter has just released the official music video for her new single, 'Jesus and Jezebel,' which premiered on Entertainment Tonight. Inspired by growing up in a Baptist church, and seeing some of those that she loved discriminated against, Potter was inspired to take a stand and let her voice be heard on this track. Despite growing up in Texas, I more or less hated country music for most of my life. If only more of it had sounded like Rachel Potter's first full length album NOT SO BLACK AND WHITE. If it had, I may have been a fan of the genre earlier. Mixing in sensibilities of pop and rock, Rachel Potter's brand of country is fresh and bold. Most refreshing of all is that her take on country is uniquely hers. There is no artifice or facade; there's just great music.
