IndieWorks Theatre Company today announced cast members from Broadway, West End, Television and digital media platforms will star in the company's new podcast, Bite-Sized Broadway: A Mini-Musical Podcast.

To mark the occasion of their now postponed Lincoln Center concert as part of the Broadway's Future Songbook Series, musical theater writers Lauren Taslitz and Danny Ursetti have released a music video for their song 'Built for Joy.'

School of Rock's Jaygee Macapugay (Soft Power, Here Lies Love) wants to tell Filipino American stories through musical theatre. She is sharing The Language Lesson, her debut musical short film (as both producer and lead) based on the music & lyrics of Paulo K Tiról.

The work of Lauren Taslitz will be featured in Women of The Wings Volume III: A Celebration of Female Musical Theatre Writers on Saturday, March 14th at 9:30pm.

The comedy 2 Pianos 4 Hands has been added to the current Olney Theatre Center schedule as a special event for a limited run on the Historic Stage, May 8 - 24, 2020. Written and originally performed by Ted Dykstra and Richard Greenblatt; Jefferson McDonald and Matt McGloin take the stage for this production to portray Ted and Richard from their very first piano lessons as they strive to become professional concert pianists. Directed by Tom Frey, each actor plays a piano in this comic look at what happens when we chase our dreams and come up short. West Side Story is officially in previews on Broadway! The new production is directed by Tony Award winner Ivo van Hove; and for the first time ever in the United States, will feature all-new choreography by the internationally acclaimed Anne Teresa de Keersmaeker. West Side Story will begin previews on December 10, 2019 and open February 6th, 2020 at the Broadway Theatre.

Lynne Meadow, Artistic Director, and Barry Grove, Executive Producer, have named Nicki Hunter Artistic Producer at Manhattan Theatre Club. In this capacity she will be responsible for working with the artistic team on season programming as well as producing current MTC shows.

Opening July 5 at Wellfleet Harbor Actors Theater, Murder for Two is a musical murder mystery full of invention and humor. Book and lyrics are by Kellen Blair, book and music by Joe Kinosian. Murder for Two runs July 5-27, with performances at 8:00 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays. Two preview performances, July 3 and 4, begin at 7:30 p.m. Opening night is July 5, at 8 p.m. Murder for Two is directed by Sam Scalamoni, with music direction by Gary Adler.

The nominations were announced this morning by the current stars of Waitress, Shoshana Bean and Jeremy Jordan, at the official announcement event at Sardi's Restaurant, which was streamed live online here at BroadwayWorld.

Google Developer Advocate Ben Morss and New Jersey Deputy District Attorney Kenneth Levine will delve into questions of internet privacy, cybersecurity, and how much your mobile phone really knows about you at the Luna Stage World Premiere of Christina Gorman's Roan @ The Gates. The two guests will take the stage following two performances: Saturday, February 9 at 8pm and Sunday, February 17 at 3pm.

Real-life identical twins Ian Fairlee and Matthew Fairlee will bring their collective talents to THE VERY GOOD SHOW, their debut cabaret at The Green Room 42 on Feb. 23, 2019 at 9:30 p.m. The Fairlees are known for their roles together off-Broadway in THE BOYS FROM SYRACUSE and separately off-Broadway in THE UNDERCLASSMAN (Ian) and MEDICINE THE MUSICAL (Matthew). 

The Tank will present the World Premiere of Real, written by Rodrigo Nogueira (The Ideal Obituary at The Tank) and directed by Erin Ortman (One Thousand Nights and One Day with Prospect Theater Company) in the 99-seat theater at The Tank (312 West 36th Street between 8th and 9th Avenues), January 3-20, 2019.

William Shakespeare's Hamlet produced by Orlando Shakes in partnership with UCF runs from February 6 - March 24, 2019. Hamlet will play in repertory with the world premiere of Gertrude and Claudius by Mark St. Germain. The York Theatre Company (James Morgan, Producing Artistic Director; Evans Haile, Executive Director), dedicated to the development of new musicals and rediscovery of musical gems from the past, presents the Off-Broadway premiere of the acclaimed new musical Midnight at The Never Get, with book, music, and lyrics by Mark Sonnenblick, co-conceived by Sam Bolen, by arrangement with Visceral Entertainment and Mark Cortale Productions.  Directed by Max Friedman, with choreography by Andrew Palermo, and music direction/arrangements by Adam Podd, the cast will feature Sam Bolen, Jeremy Cohen, and Jon J. Peterson.  Performances begin Tuesday, October 2, 2018 for a limited engagement through Sunday afternoon, November 4, 2018 at The York Theatre Company at Saint Peter's (entrance on East 54th Street, just east of Lexington Avenue). Opening Night is Thursday evening, October 11, 2018 at 6:45 p.m.
