BWW Review: CHITTY CHITTY BANG BANG Dazzles and Charms!

Do not let your unfamiliarity with the 1968 movie stop you from watching Resorts World Manila's newest production, Ian Flemming's Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. In fact, in this case, having very limited knowledge prior to watching the show (we are, of course, aware of the flying car since it is being used in the show's promotional advertisements) made the experience more thrilling and enjoyable. Thus, in this review, we shall afford you with the same courtesy and not give too many details about the story. If you happen to know the movie, trust us, this production can still dazzle you with enough charm, making it a satisfying time at the theatre.

A small film with a big heart, 'Kiko Boksingero' (Kiko, The Boxer), a film by debuting full-length feature filmmaker Thop Nazareno, a multimedia arts graduate from the College of Saint Benilde, is one of this year's top-grossing entries at the Cinemalaya: Philippine Independent Film Festival, which closes today at the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) and select Ayala mall cinemas.

As Walt Disney's “Beauty And The Beast” waltzes its way to the top of the box office, professional singers and netizens alike continue to create countless viral covers of the classic title song from the movie. The latest take on the iconic track “Beauty and the Beast” is from two of the most talented young performers from the Philippines: Elha Nympha and Noel Comia Jr. who both deliver an adorable yet heartwarming rendition of the 1992 Oscar winner for Best Original Song. The local cover, produced by MCA Music, comes out just in time for Billboard 200's Top 5 Albums debut of “Beauty And The Beast” Original Motion Picture soundtrack this week.
