Henrik Ibsen's lesser-known drama 'Ghosts' should be just as prolific as 'A Doll's House.' This 19th-century societal criticism is one to check off your classical theater bucket list, and Richard Eyre's masterful adaptation at ArtsWest is impressively close to the original. On top of casting two theatrical powerhouses--Suzanna Bouchard and Noah Racey--ArtsWest's current production is one that would make Ibsen himself stand and applaud.

For the first time since opening our doors at ArtsWest Playhouse and Gallery in 1999, the total number of season subscriptions before the season openshas surpassed the prior year's end-of-season total. Subscriptions goals are normally met or surpassed by the end of a given season, but this year we are celebrating before the season even begins. There are other reasons why 2016 is a remarkable year for ArtsWest: in addition to a record-setting revenue for season subscribers, the number of subscribers is at an all-time high for any season opening in our history.
