After filling in for one of the drag queens one night, he decides to trade in his sequin jumpsuit for a sequin dress. With Miss Tracy’s help, he becomes a star. Along the way, he learns a whole lot about himself and show business in this funny and touching show. The Schedule, written by Sheldon Gleisser is directed by Michael Garrett Herring. The cast includes: Nick Martin as Denny Monroe, Michael Herring as Andy Zeleznick, Rachel Scherrer as Clementine Folkes, and Julia Cannell as Woman. This drama shocked the world when it premiered nearly a century and half ago, but its story still resonates today with its themes of majority rule vs minority rights, freedom of the press, and a?' for the first time in Western drama a?' the subject of pollution and the environment. Henrik Ibsen, one of the world's most popular and influential playwrights himself, even declared, a?oeI am still uncertain as to whether I should call An Enemy of the People a comedy or a straight drama. It may have many traits of comedy, but it also is based on a serious idea.' This play has been considered one of Ibsen's finest works, coming from the playwright who authored, A Doll's House.
