The Miller Theatre at Columbia University School of the Arts continues its 2021-2022 Composer Portraits with Matana Roberts. Roberts' challenging, engaging, socially relevant music is heard in I call america: Sandy Speaks — a multimedia world premiere Miller Theatre commission performed by twelve improvising musicians including composer Matana Roberts. 

The sounds of jazz will return to the University of Pittsburgh main campus January 24 through 29, 2022, for the 51st Annual Pitt Jazz Seminar and Concert.

Pianist Jacob Greenberg today releases his first solo disc, Bright Codes, on TUNDRA via New Focus Recordings. The album features exciting commissions for piano and harmonium written for Greenberg between 2013 and 2021 that premiered at venues such as Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts and Miller Theatre.

On Thursday, November 4, 2021 at 7pm and Friday, November 5, 2021 at 7pm, the International Contemporary Ensemble will return to the Target Margin Theater in Sunset Park, Brooklyn to present two residency performances that feature the experimental work of Nathan Davis, Phyllis Chen, and Nicholas Houfek.

Loft Ensemble in North Hollywood has announced the fifth production of its eighth season, the world premiere of Death and Other Girly Things by RJ Fontaine. Under the direction of Mitch Rosander & Madylin Sweeten Durrie, the cast will feature (in alphabetical order) Ben Anderson, Anna-Katharina Benz, Charlie Daniell, Jennifer DeRosa, Raymond Donahey, Dan Ellis, RJ Fontaine, Carlos Gomez, Jr., Kardale Holland, Erin Hollander, Barbera Ann Howard, Sean James, Katy Laughlin, Max Marsh, Ignacio Navarro, Sarah Nilsen, Bree Pavey, Dani Power, Celine Rosalie, and Sarah Sommers. Opening is set for Saturday, March 7, at 8pm and the engagement will continue through Sunday, April 12 only.

As one of the leading voices of his generation, composer Dai Fujikura's signature writing will be exhibited in a Miller Theatre Composer Portrait on Thursday, March 5, 2020 at 8:00pm, performed by the International Contemporary Ensemble (ICE), longtime champions of and collaborators with Fujikura.
