Next up at A Noise Within, Manuel Puig’s Kiss of the Spider Woman beginning April 1, 2023 (with previews starting March 26th). Michael Michetti directs this classic two-hander with Adrián González and Ed F. Martin. Ed, a familiar face on the Los Angeles stages, managed to squeeze out some time between rehearsals to answer a few of my queries.

On Pitch Performing Arts will host its next community theater production produced on their newly built Creator's Stage with the opening of “The Laramie Project”. Opening Friday, March 10th, for a limited 6 show run, the production is a breathtaking collage that explores the depths to which humanity can sink and the heights of compassion of which we are capable.

Theatre Communications Group (TCG), the national organization for theatre, has announced the recipients of the first and second rounds of the 2022-23 Edgerton Foundation New Play Awards. The awards, totaling $725,000, allow 17 productions extra time for the development and rehearsal of new plays with the entire creative team, hoping to extend the life of the world premiere play after its first run. 

The Broadway musical Paradise Square had announced that it would be releasing an original Broadway cast recording this past summer. Amid the delayed release of the cast album, Paradise Square's composer Jason Howland released 13 tracks on his Instagram.
