The Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts announced today that tickets are on sale for Broadway & Beyond at the Walt Disney Theater, a one-night-only variety show featuring luminaries from the Great White Way and beyond, including international music and dance performers. Broadway & Beyond will open the Walt Disney Theater during the Grand Premiere of Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts, Presented by Dr. Phillips Charities and Balfour Beatty Construction.

Dold. Directed by Joe Calarco, performances of Breaking the Code are from today, July 17 through August 2, with a press opening on Sunday, July 20 at 5pm. Broadwayworld was there for the opening.

One of the most iconic rock-and-roll bands to come out of London during the 1970s—Grammy Award-winning “America”—joins Pacific Symphony Pops to rock the house with hot hits, soulful ballads and rock classics. The perennial folk-country-rock favorite celebrates its 44th anniversary this year with nearly half a century of gold and platinum albums, chart-topping hits and a variety of genre-crossing tunes in its wake. The band's surreal, somewhat psychedelic lyrics, which were an anomaly in their genre, helped to define the new California soft-rock sound that grew out of the area's folk and pop. Founding members Gerry Beckley and Dewey Bunnell join the orchestra to perform such signature hits as “A Horse with No Name,” “Ventura Highway,” “You Can Do Magic,” “Lonely People,” “Sister Golden Hair,” “Tin Man” and more.

Sex Tips for Straight Women from a Gay Man, a new comedy written by Matt Murphy, based on the best-selling book by Dan Anderson and Maggie Berman, is having its world premiere Off-Broadway at The 777 Theatre (777 Eighth Avenue, between 47th and 48th Streets). Directed by Tim Drucker (writer/director of Spidermusical, co-book writer for the musical Fat Camp) Sex Tips for Straight Women from a Gay Man stars Jason Michael Snow (last seen on Broadway in Book of Mormon, and the composer, co-writer and co-producer of the current internet sensation Russian Broadway Shut Down) as Dan, Lindsay Nicole Chambers (Lysistrata Jones, Forbidden Broadway, "Submissions Only") as Robyn, and Andrew Brewer (Cougar The Musical) as Stefan. Performances began on January 22, 2014. The press opening is set for February 9, 2014. TVLand has announced today that it will produce an animated episode of its hit original sitcom “HotinCleveland.” Animation Studio Titmouse, Inc. will create the art for the episode, which will be part of the fifth season of the series.
