THE MELODY LINGERS ON: A GALA TRIBUTE TO THE SONGS OF IRVING BERLIN was a gathering of some of the biggest names in the cabaret world. There’s something a little odd about celebrating the intimate art of cabaret in a Broadway-sized theatre like Rose Hall, but to be honest it was one of the few venues sizable enough to hold all the cabaret fans who came to see this fine collection of talented artists. There were performances from Sandy Stewart, Jeff Harner, Andrea Marcovicci, Eric Yves Garcia, Karen Oberlin, David LaMarr, Natalie Douglas, Stacy Sullivan & Todd Murray, Karen Akers, Steve Ross, Amra-Faye Wright, Klea Blackhurst, Billy Stritch, Aisha de Haas, Christine Andreas, Sidney Myer, Karen Mason, Nicolas King, Mark Nadler, and the Moipai Triplets. In addition to these wonderful performers, we were treated to some of NYC’s best musicians including Ray Marchicka, Steve Doyle, Jon Weber, Bill Charlap, Darnell White, Alex Rybeck, Mark Hummel, Michael Rice, and Tracy Stark.

Tonight, April 19th, 2021 8PM EST, QUEENS FOR A CAUSE takes to the screen! The revamped Leg Up On Life original show will feature brand new performances to raise money for the organizations Artist Grant and Scholarship Programs. The show will be hosted by Jackie Cox from Ru Paul's Drag Race season 12 and Leg Up On Life Executive Director, Daniel Gold.

The Las Vegas Global Economic Alliance (LVGEA) hosted its signature State of Economic Development event, which took place virtually for the first time. This year's event brought together elected officials as well as community and business leaders from Southern Nevada and across the state to discuss the region's recovery, workforce development, and new initiatives. 

Tonight, January 25th at 8PM EST, Leg Up On Life will kick off 2021 with RECHARGE, benefiting the newly announced Scholarship and Artist Grant Programs.  

While I have heard wonderful things about the musical CATS and about the Shubert Theatre in New Haven, CT, I had never experienced either until March 5, 2020, when both far exceeded my expectations when I saw this musical masterpiece phenomenally performed by an extraordinary cast, to a packed audience representing numerous demographics, leaving us all united with an amazing memory of such an incredible theatrical experience!

Producers announced casting for the North American tour of the first ever Broadway revival of CATS. The multi-year tour launched at Providence Performing Arts Center on January 22, 2019 and will play 40+ cities during its multi-year tour, including the Fabulous Fox Theatre from April 7-19.

A Deadly Game of Chess, the first work from local playwright and director Melody Rose will debut at the Fairfield Theatre Company's StageOne (70 Sanford Street in Fairfield, CT) on Sunday, June 30 at 4:00PM.  The drama is staged largely by a cast and crew of local high school and college students, with proceeds benefitting Circle of Friends, a Norwalk-based non-profit organization that serves children, teens, and young adults with autism and disabilities. Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for students and available at https://boxoffice.fairfieldtheatre.org/single/SelectSeating.aspx?p=8868 .
