Alley Theatre Artistic Director Gregory Boyd announced the cast and creative team for the theatre's 28th production of A Christmas Carol - A Ghost Story of Christmas, staged in the newly renovated Hubbard Theatre.

I was pleased to see many familiar faces last Wednesday at the Alley Theatre's performance of ONE MAN, TWO GUVNORS. It helped set the tone for the comedic and interactive performance that seemed to ask us to leave any egos at the door, relax, and sit back for a night of farcical storytelling and crass side-splitting humor. The show absolutely delivered.

Winner of the Critics Circle Award and multiple Tony and Drama Desk Awards, this glorious comedy is a unique laugh-out-loud mix of satire, songs, and stupendous physical comedy. One Man, Two Guvnors, by Richard Bean is based on The Servant of Two Masters by Carlo Goldoni with songs by Grant Olding and directed by Gregory Boyd. Previews begin October 2, Opening Night October 7, with performances continuing through November 1, 2015.

Bayou City Concert Musicals opens its 2014-15 season with the 1957 George Abbott musical version of Eugene O'Neill's Anna Christie, New Girl in Town, for five performances at the Heinen Theatre, 3517 Austin, September 4-7, 2014. The fully-staged concert musical production will mark the premiere of New Girl in Town in Houston. New Girl in Town was nominated for five Tony Awards in 1958 and won two...both for best performance by a Leading Actress in a Musical.

Nominated for a Tony Award for Best Play, the cast of Good People includes Alley Theatre Resident Actors Elizabeth Bunch as Margaret, Chris Hutchison as Mike and Melissa Pritchett as Jean. Rounding out the cast are Dylan Godwin, returning to the Alley as Stevie after appearing in the world premiere of Ether Dome; Jennifer Harmon as Dottie, having previously appeared in August: Osage County; and Krystel Lucas making her Alley debut as Kate.
