Whether the Prospect Theater Company is presenting a Dadaist piece about the birth of Dada or a kick-ass musical comedy about Tin Pan Alley tunesmiths putting on a show for the Soviet Union, the theatregoer's eye will inevitable be drawn to the elegantly simple dome that towers above their West End Theatre playing space inside The Church of St. Andrew and St. Paul. So for the company's ten year anniversary, their adventurous artistic director, Cara Reichel, conceived and curated a site-specific piece called The Dome, inspired by their home's architecture.

On Friday, September 5, at 8pm the Midtown International Theater Festival Awards will take place. The MITF Awards will honor the best shows and performances from the recently completed Ninth Annual Midtown InterNational Theatre Festival, which took place from July 14-August 10 of this year.

In the last week of its ninth annual successful smash season, the Midtown International Theatre Festival extends you one last invitation to see its Commercial Division shows with an eye on transferring to a life elsewhere after their MITF runs end on August 10!

With the coming of its ninth annual summer program of varied and eclectic works, the Midtown International Theatre Festival is proud to unveil the MITF Commercial Division, featuring shows staged with a specific eye toward a future existence, be it on Broadway, Off-Broadway, regional theatre or touring worldwide.

Ensemble Studio Theatre announces Series A of 'Marathon 2008' beginning May 8th.

ENSEMBLE STUDIO THEATRE (William Carden, Artistic Director, Paul Alexander Slee, Executive Director) will present MARATHON 2008, E.S.T.'s 30th annual festival of new one-act plays, at E.S.T. (549 West 52nd Street). Performances begin Thursday, May 8th, and continue through Saturday, June 28th. MARATHON 2008 offers fifteen World Premieres of one-act plays in three separate evenings.

The Stage Directors and Choreographers Foundation is proud to announce the recipient of the inaugural Denham Fellowship to director May Adrales as the first Denham Fellow and award her $3,000 in support of her production of Faith, Hope, and Charity at PURE Theatre in Charleston, South Carolina.
