Chanhassen Dinner Theatres has announced that it will produce THE PROM, Broadway’s smash hit musical comedy, on its Main Stage to be directed by Michael Brindisi and choreographed by Tamara Kangas Erickson.

Beck Center for the Arts will reprise the smash hit from 2021, Elf The Musical, a soon to be holiday classic for the stage.  

Emmaus, residents will embrace their inner 'elf' when STAR OF THE DAY presents their production of Elf The Musical Jr. The show featuring STAR OF THE DAY youth performers opens on December 2nd running through the 11th with six performances scheduled on Friday and Saturday nights at 7pm, and Sunday matinees at 3pm.

NETworks Presentations has announced casting for the 2022 national tour of ELF THE MUSICAL, which will launch November 5 in Paducah, KY, and visit twelve U.S. cities throughout the holiday season.

The White Plains Performing Arts Center has announced the cast for its upcoming Mainstage production of THE PROM, playing October 7 – 23. Leading the cast are Broadway Veterans Janine LaManna (Seussical, Sweet Charity, Drowsy Chaperone) as Dee Dee Allen and Felicia Finley (Wedding Singer, The Life, Aida) as Angie.

Single tickets for nine shows in the Fabulous Fox Theatre’s 2022 – 2023 U.S. Bank Broadway Series will go on sale Tuesday, September 6 at 10:00 a.m. CT. The Wedding Singer made its Regional Debut at the Crown Uptown in July. It’s super fun, high energy musical based on the hit Adam Sandler movie, with music by Matthew Sklar (Elf, The Prom), book by Chad Beguelin (Aladdin, Elf, The Prom) and Tim Herlihy (Billy Madison, Happy Gilmore), and lyrics by Chad Beguelin. The Wedding Singer's score is rife with 80’s pop references, which made me ponder the question, “From which actual hits were the show’s songs derived?”

Though fused with the pop sounds of the latest Broadway grab toward tween-friendly franchises, Matthew Sklar and Chad Beguelin’s score has a heart that leans more toward the unabashed sincerity of The Pajama Game or The Music Man than the more saccharine offerings from the current scene.

The national tour of the 2019 Drama Desk Award winner for Outstanding Musical “The Prom” will play at Center Theatre Group / Ahmanson Theatre from August 9 through September 11, 2022 and will open August 10, 2022.
