Road Less Traveled Productions (RLTP) has announced that the next production in its 2013-2014 10th Anniversary season, An Iliad, by Denis O'Hare and Lisa Peterson, has received sponsorship support from Nichols School, a nationally recognized co-educational college preparatory school in Buffalo, NY.

Up next for Road Less Traveled Productions during its 10th Anniversary 2013-14 season is An Iliad by Denis O'Hare & Lisa Peterson, a contemporary retelling of the epic poem depicting the Trojan War. The script, rife with commentary on what it means to be a nation at war, will have its Western New York premiere (including new original score by Al Kryszak) at the Road Less Traveled Theater in early March.

Abingdon Theatre Company, in an ongoing effort to recognize excellence in playwriting, established the Christopher Brian Wolk Award to be presented annually to an American writer of a full-length play not produced in New York City. The award is based upon the writer's demonstrated ability to reach a mature artistic vision using theatre. Playwright Sheldon Bull will receive the $1,000 cash award and a staged reading of his script MALLORCA, directed by Donald Brenner (GREAT EXPECTATIONS), at the award ceremony, December 16, starting at 7:00PM in the June Havoc Theatre, 312 West 36th Street in Manhattan.

The landmark satire CLYBOURNE PARK is simultaneously a prequel, sequel, and modern commentary on the American theatre classic A Raisin in The Sun, spanning fifty years in the history of one much-contested house in a constantly evolving suburb. The show, presented by 710 Main Theatre, produced by Road Less Traveled Productions, and directed by Scott Behrend, will be featured in the Frey Electric Season from tonight, November 8th-December 1st, 2013. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the network has given a script order to an hour-long pilot reminiscent of FAME, from Debbie Allen and executive producer Sam Haskell. Rather than Manhattan, the project will be set in a Los Angeles performing arts school. HOUSE's Matt Witten is set to write and executive produce with the pair.

Road Less Traveled Productions (RLTP) will present its Fourth Annual Buffalo Young Writers (BYW) Night on Wednesday, May 15th at 7:00 pm at The Road Less Traveled Theater, located at 639 Main Street, in Downtown Buffalo's Market Arcade Film & Arts Centre (MAFAC).
