The Penny Seats return to the stage this October with the musical revue Tomfoolery, celebrating the words and music of satirist, mathematician, and cult favorite, Tom Lehrer. The production also includes an opening short-a 5-minute mini-musical called Volcanoes!!-composed by Ann Arbor's Zach London, who cites Lehrer as an early inspiration. The show will run on Thursdays, October 2, 9, 16 and 23, at Conor O'Neill's Irish Pub and Restaurant, 318 South Main Street, Ann Arbor. BroadwayWorld has a sneak peek at the cast in rehearsal below!

The Penny Seats return to the stage this October with the musical revue Tomfoolery, celebrating the words and music of satirist, mathematician, and cult favorite, Tom Lehrer. The production also includes an opening short-a 5-minute mini-musical called Volcanoes!!-composed by Ann Arbor's Zach London, who cites Lehrer as an early inspiration. The show will run on Thursdays, October 2, 9, 16 and 23, at Conor O'Neill's Irish Pub and Restaurant, 318 South Main Street, Ann Arbor. The two companies are partnering to offer a dinner theatre-style show, with dinner seatings available starting at 6:30 pm, and performances each night at 8:00pm. Audience members can purchase tickets for the dinner-and-show package for just $20, or for the show only, for $10. The Penny Seats Theatre Company is thrilled to announce that it has been awarded a grant of $2403 from the State of Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs (MCACA). The grant was awarded through the MCACA peer review process and was one of 428 applications to compete for MCACA fiscal year 2014 funding.

When Performance Network Theatre decided to engage in two co-productions for their 30th Anniversary season, an opportunity arose to revive their second stage offerings. With both "God of Carnage" and the upcoming "Dead Man's Shoes" being rehearsed off-site, Performance Network's black box rehearsal hall was wide open for use by a neighboring company, The Penny Seats, and the first show of their second season, Jeffrey Hatcher's "What Corbin Knew." Performances will begin Feb 28 and run through March 14, 2012 at Performance Network.
