Roundabout Theatre Company presents Tony Award-winner Rosemary Harris in the New York premiere of Tom Stoppard's Indian Ink, directed by Carey Perloff. Indian Ink began previews on September 4, and officially opened last night, September 30, at the Laura Pels Theatre in the Harold and Miriam Steinberg Center for Theatre (111 46th Street). Roundabout Theatre Company (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director) will soon featureTony Award Winner Rosemary Harris as 'Eleanor Swan' in the New York premiere of Tom Stoppard's Indian Ink, directed by Carey Perloff. The cast will include Firdous Bamji ('Nikrad Das'), Bill Buell ('Englishman'), Nick Choksi('Dilip'), Romola Garai ('Flora Crewe'), Neal Huff ('Eldon Pike'), Caroline Lagerfelt('Englishwoman'), Omar Maskati ('Nazrul'),Tim McGeever ('Resident'), Brenda Meaney('Nell'), Philip Mills ('Eric'), Ajay Naidu('Coomaraswami') Bhavesh Patel ('Anish Das'), Lee Aaron Rosen ('David Durance') and Rajeev Varma ('Rajah/Politician').
The production will begin performances on September 4 and open Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at the Laura Pels Theatre in the Harold & Miriam Steinberg Centre for Theatre (111 West 46th Street). The company just met the press and you can check out photos from inside the event below!

MOTHER JONES AND THE CHILDREN'S CRUSADE - presented by The New York Musical Theatre Festival, Crystal Theatre and Benjamin Simpson - has announced a second extension to its run with an additional performance on Friday, July 25 at 5:00 PM. The dramatic new musical inspired by the true story of the trailblazing labor organizer, which already has a sold out performance, will run from July 17 to 26, 2014. The show has book, music and lyrics by Cheryl E. Kemeny (co-founder of Crystal Theatre) and stars Lynne Wintersteller (A Grand Night For Singing and Annie on Broadway) and Robin De Jesus (two time Tony Award nominee). MOTHER JONES AND THE CHILDREN'S CRUSADE is directed by Michelle Tattenbaum (Nobody Loves You at The Old Globe and Second Stage), choreographed by Clare Cook with music direction by Micah Young (Best Music Director, NYMF 2013). The show is an Official Selection of the 2014 New York Musical Theatre Festival's Next Link Project.

The 2014 New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF) today announced the Next Link Project musical selections. The 10 musicals were announced as part of the 11th edition of the Festival, which will take place from July 7 to July 27 at locations around midtown Manhattan in New York City, including The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street).

Hugh Whitemore's play, Pack of Lies, opening at The Adobe Theater tonight, January 10th. Experienced director Joann Danella has chosen this tense drama, based on real events, to launch our 2014 season. She has previously directed 14 shows at The Adobe ranging from comedy (Belles, The Odd Couple) to serious (Proof, The Day They Shot John Lennon) to downright scary (Scotland Road), and has also worked at other local theaters for 15 years. 'This play,' she says, 'will entertain and raise questions about the effect on ordinary people of national security issues, but also matters of personal loyalty, friendship and betrayal.'
Palm Beach Dramaworks Extends THE LION IN WINTER Through 1/12

After receiving critical acclaim and overwhelming demand by South Florida audiences, James Goldman's classic comic-drama, The Lion in Winter will extend performances thru January 12th at Palm Beach Dramaworks (201 Clematis Street). The production will play the following additional performances: Friday 1/10 at 8pm, Saturday 1/11 at 8pm and Sunday 1/12 at 2pm.

There will be a memorial celebration of the actress, Julie Harris, today, Dec. 3rd, starting at 12 noon at the earnard B. Jacobs Theatre on 242 West 45th Street. Among her friends gathering to celebrate Miss Harris will be Zoe Caldwell, RoseMary Harris, Cherry Jones, HAl Holbrook and Christopher Plummer. The public is welcome.
