Northlight Theatre will continue its 2022–2023 season with The Porch on Windy Hill: a new play with old music by Sherry Lutken, Lisa Helmi Johanson, Morgan Morse and David M. Lutken, conceived and directed by Sherry Lutken.  

The cast has been announced for Sacramento Staged Reading Series' upcoming presentation of the musical Sawyer Thompson, a new contemporary queer reimagining of the characters of Mark Twain.

Refracted Theatre Company has announced its 2023 season, featuring Dave Harris’s dark comedy (and rap concert) Tambo & Bones, directed by Mikael Burke and more.

The Mark Twain House & Museum in Hartford, CT announced today the opening of a new exhibition entitled For Business or Pleasure?: Twain's Summer Sojourns. The comprehensive exhibit will focus on the Clemens family's American summer vacations and the diverting aspects of Gilded Age leisure and travel.

This season, Stewart also sits down with General David Petraeus to discuss defense; State Senator Nathan Dahm (R-OK) about crimes and guns; Governor Gavin Newsom (D-CA) about prison reform and rehabilitation, and for the first time ever the series will travel abroad for Stewart to speak with foreign policy leaders. Glenn Weiss has won a Directors Guild of America Award for directing the 75th Annual Tony Awards. Weiss won the Variety/Talk/News/Sports - Specials category. The 75th Annual Tony Awards were hosted by Ariana DeBose. They are available to stream on Paramount+, along with the pre-ceremony hosted by Julianne Hough and Darren Criss.

Big River is based on The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn by Mark Twain. This Theatre for Young Audiences version has been adapted from the original Tony Award winning musical. Lyric presents their annual kids' show now through March 11th at their Lyric at the Plaza venue.

Original film cast members Tina Fey and Tim Meadows will reprise their original Mean Girls film roles in the upcoming movie musical. Fey, who also wrote the original film and Broadway musical, plays math teacher Ms. Norbury, with Meadows as Mr. Duvall, the school's principal.
