Amphibian Stage Productions Adds National Theatre Live Screenings

Amphibian Stage Productions today announced additional National Theatre Live screenings for 2014, presented in association with the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth. Productions of King Lear, an encore screening of The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time and A Small Family Business, broadcast from London, will follow the previously announced screenings of Coriolanus and War Horse in the fifth season of this critically acclaimed series.

Tickets will go on sale tomorrow, Wednesday, March 5 at 10 AM exclusively for American Express Card Members for The National Theatre production of THE CURIOUS INCIDENT OF THE DOG IN THE NIGHT-TIME, the acclaimed new play by Simon Stephens, adapted from Mark Haddon's best-selling novel, directed by Tony Award-winner Marianne Elliott. Preferred seating is available to Gold Card, Platinum Card, and Centurion members. The general public on sale will begin on Monday, March 24 at 10 AM.

Fathom Events, National Theatre Live (NT Live) and BY Experience have come together again to broadcast the National Theatre's original stage production of 'War Horse,' pre-recorded live from London's West End, for only one night in cinemas across the country tonight, Feb. 27 at 7:00 p.m. local time. Based on Michael Morpurgo's novel and adapted for the stage by Nick Stafford, 'War Horse' takes audiences on a journey from the fields of rural Devon to the trenches of France during World War I. Filled with stirring music and songs, this powerfully moving and imaginative drama is a show of phenomenal inventiveness. At its heart are astonishing life-size puppets by South Africa's Handspring Puppet Company, who bring breathing, galloping, charging horses to life on stage.

Full Casting Announced For BIRDLAND At Royal Court

The cast has been announced for Simon Stephens' new play Birdland at the Royal Court Theatre in London (3 April to 31 May - press night 9 April), which looks at fame, money and an out-of-control front man. The full cast is Nikki Amuka-Bird, Daniel Cerqueira, Yolanda Kettle, Alex Price, Charlotte Randle and Andrew Scott.

For the first time ever, a broadcast from National Theatre Live will be shown at New York City's legendary Ziegfeld Theatre (141 West 54th Street) on February 27th at 7:00 p.m. The broadcast can also be seen in New York at Cinema 123 (1001 3rd Avenue) with encore dates/times to follow.

Actors Christopher Tierney (in his first NYC stage role since departing Broadway's Spider-Man) and Louis Butelli (Cyclops: A Rock Opera; Sleep No More) step into Jon Fosse's I AM THE WIND, replacing the previously announced James Patrick Nelson and Jonathan Tindle. Performances still begin on Thursday, January 9 for a limited engagement through Sunday, January 26. Press opening remains Thursday, January 16 at 7:30 PM. The performance schedule is Tuesday - Thursday at 7:30 PM; Friday - Saturday at 8:30 PM; and Sunday at 3:30 PM.
