The Public Theater presents Soft Power, with play and lyrics by Tony Award winner David Henry Hwang, music and additional lyrics by Tony Award winner Jeanine Tesori, choreography by Tony nominee Sam Pinkleton, and is directed by Tony nominee Leigh Silverman. A reading of the new musical The Count of Monte Cristo was presented on October 11th at Tuacahn Center for the Arts. Scott S. Anderson directed the private presentation of the musical penned by the Tony Award nominated team of Frank Wildhorn, composer, and Jack Murphy, book and lyrics.

A one-night only adaptation of the 1974 Tony-Award winning musical Over Here! will take place on Monday, November 11 at the Triad Theater on Manhattan's upper west side. Directed by Will Nunziata and set to the original score by the Sherman Brothers, this is the first performance of this six-time Tony award winning work since its closing in 1975.

Few people seem to be familiar with Lerner & Loewe's Paint Your Wagon. Those who are usually mention the 1969 film of the same title, starring Lee Marvin and Clint Eastwood, known for being a ridiculously miscast and embarrassingly terrible flop. The musical, which originally appeared on Broadway in 1951, is similarly messy, and has gone pretty much unproduced for decades. Fortunately, however, playwright Jon Marans has redrafted the book, top-to-bottom, enhancing both the story line and its characters, and the result is a shiny-new masterpiece with new orchestrations and new dance and vocal arrangements. It is now an entirely enjoyable musical, complex in its structure, with an interesting setting, compelling plot, nuanced layers, appropriate social commentary, and characters...

Tony award winner Cady Huffman returns to The Green Room 42 with her critically acclaimed sold out one woman show Miss. Peggy Lee: In Her Own Words and Music for two more shows on Weds. July 24th and Weds. July 31st. Broadway World's own Richard Ridge caught up with Cady and her long time collaborator, writer director Will Nunziata during a break in rehearsal to chat about bringing the life and career of the legendary Peggy Lee to the stage.
