The Old Globe presents the first offering in the 2017 Summer Shakespeare Festival: William Shakespeare's epic King Richard II, helmed by award-winning director Erica Schmidt (Off Broadway's A Month in the Country, All the Fine Boys, Humor Abuse) in her Globe debut. The play will run now through July 15, 2017, in the outdoor Lowell Davies Festival Theatre. Opening night is tomorrow, June 18, and BroadwayWorld has a first look at Robert Sean Leonard and the company in action below!

The Leonard Bernstein Office today announced "Leonard Bernstein at 100," a two-year global celebration of the life and career of the 20th century cultural giant, featuring more than 1,000 events on six continents. A kickoff at The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts on Friday, September 22, 2017 will officially launch the celebrations which continue worldwide through the end of August 2019.

SundanceTV announced today the greenlight of its next wholly owned original series 'Hap and Leonard.' The project is based on the rollicking Joe Lansdale Southern noir book series about an unlikely pair of best friends and martial arts experts who struggle through misadventure, to stay on the right side of the law in1980's East Texas. The series has been greenlit for six one-hour episodes. It will begin shooting in 2015 and will air in early 2016.
