The Broadway League has named Lauren Reid, of The John Gore Organization, as its next Chair. Reid will replace Thomas Schumacher of Disney on Broadway.

Broadway Across America gave purchasers the option to donate the value of their unused tickets to Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. The John Gore Organization this week added to their customers' goodwill, bringing the total donation to Broadway Cares to an astounding $1 million.

Thanks to the generosity of the theatrical community and dedicated supporters, Broadway Cares has announced a record $18.1 million was provided in grants in the fiscal year ending September 30, 2020.

Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS announced today that it has sent $5 million from its COVID-19 Emergency Assistance Fund to The Actors Fund, ensuring thousands who work in theater and the performing arts receive vital, lifesaving support during and after this devastating pandemic.

More than 20 Broadway producers are offering a $1 million challenge match to double the impact of donations to Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS' COVID-19 Emergency Assistance Fund.

The Broadway League is pleased to announce that Lauren Reid, Chief Operating Officer, the John Gore Organization, was recently voted Chair Elect of the Board of the Broadway League. Ms. Reid will take over the role of Chair of the Broadway League from Thomas Schumacher, President & Producer of Disney Theatrical Productions, following the completion of Mr. Schumacher's full three-year term at the end of 2020.

As the foremost presenter of first-class touring Broadway productions throughout North America, Broadway Across America (BAA), announced today that is has entered into new partnerships with both Broadway Grand Rapids and Michigan State University's Wharton Center for Performing Arts. The touring Broadway production of COME FROM AWAY which recently performed in Omaha helped raise $75,000 for flood relief in Nebraska and Southwest Iowa. The producers of COME FROM AWAY, Omaha Performing Arts, and Broadway Across America, along with audience members who attended the show are donating $75,000 for flood relief to the American Red Cross of Nebraska and Southwest Iowa.
