The Segal Centre for Performing Arts is kicking off the 2018-2019 theatre season with the Montreal premiere of Once. Playing in the Sylvan Adams Theatre from October 7 to October 28, 2018, this Tony award-winning musical takes audiences on the sweeping journey of star-crossed lovers accompanied by mesmerizing music.

Mark Crawford's BED AND BREAKFAST is a two-man show stuffed to the brim with vibrant, interesting characters, that takes place after Brett (Gregory Prest) inherits a family home in some Ontario small-town and packs up his life in Toronto with his partner Drew (Paolo Santalucia) to open a bed and breakfast.

The 39th Annual Dora Mavor Moore Awards for the 2017-2018 season were handed out in a star-studded ceremony in Toronto on the evening of Monday, June 25 at the Winter Garden Theatre of the Elgin and Winter Garden Theatre Centre, hosted by acclaimed actor Astrid Van Wieren, currently starring on Broadway in the award-winning Canadian musical Come From Away.

I would watch a Ravi Jain directed production of the phone book. ANIMAL FARM, presented by Soulpepper, is an adaption of George Orwell's famous novel by Canadian playwright Anthony MacMahon. Jain and MacMahon design a campy, satirical world for the farm animals, using humour as a reel to hook the audience into deeper discussions about humanity and society. It's persuasive, troubling, and honestly funny.

Created by award winning Bad New Days (The Double) and Ahuri Theatre (This is the Point), FLASHING LIGHTS is an original play exploring how digital technology is radically shaping human evolution.

The world premiere of Bobby Theodore's translation of THE JUST by Albert Camus is now playing at Soulpepper. Directed by Frank Cox-O'Connell, this new adaptation of the 1949 French play set in Russia, follows the paths of five socialist revolutionaries plotting terror attacks against the Grand Duke of Russia in the early 1900s. The ensemble cast led by Raquel Duffy (Dora) and Peter Fernandes (Voinov) also features Katherine Gauthier, Diego Matamoros, Gregory Prest and Brendan Wall.

The Independent Creators Cooperative is a new theatre collaboration that brings together three emerging companies supported by two veteran companies in order to present the world premieres of three physical theatre productions to open The Theatre Centre's BMO Incubator space at its new permanent home at the historic Carnegie Library. These original plays will run in repertory Thursday-Sunday from April 17 to May 18 with previews from April 12-16.

Albert Schultz, Founding Artistic Director of Soulpepper Theatre Company, today announced the 12 plays comprising Soulpepper's 15th anniversary season, including ten new productions, two remounts, and a revisit, to run in repertory from January to December, 2012.
