MIDNIGHT IN THE GARDEN OF GOOD AND EVIL the 1994 iconic blockbuster book by John Berendt, which still holds a New York Times bestseller list record, is being developed into a new musical and will have an invitation only  industry reading on August 3rd and 4th, 2023 in New York City. Tony-nominated Some Like It Hot star J. Harrison Ghee sat down on CBS Mornings to conclude their 'Road to the Tonys' series. Ghee and Shucked star Alex Newell are the first opening non-binary performers to ever be nominated at the Tony Awards. Ghee opened up about making Broadway history with the nomination. The second annual Black Women On Broadway awards were held this week in New York and the star-studded event included appearances from the organization's founders, Danielle Brooks, Jocelyn Bioh, and Amber Iman and Broadway luminaries NaTasha Yvette Williams, Tonya Pinkins, Crystal Lucas Perry, LaChanze, Audra McDonald and more! Next month, 54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club & Private Event Destination, presents some of the brightest stars from Broadway, cabaret, jazz, and beyond. A recipient of the 2022 Tony Awards Honor for Excellence in the Theatre, 54 Below is a non-profit organization with a mission to preserve and expand the art of the cabaret, honor the music of Broadway, and provide an unparalleled experience to diverse communities.
