More than 410 Elly nominees for the 2015-16 season were announced at an informal nomination reception on Sunday, August 7, 2016 beginning at 7pm. More than 100 actors, directors, technicians, and producers were on hand to listen excitedly for their names to be called.  This year's theme is Some Enchanted Ellys.

Actor, writer, and comedienne Katie Rubin will bring her fourth solo show, Why I Died, a Comedy! to the Hollywood Fringe Festival for five performances only at the Elephant Space beginning June 7 at 8pm. Directed by Victor Bumbalo, Why I Died, a Comedy! recently enjoyed an acclaimed engagements at the Hudson and Atwater Village Theatres and Rubin continues her work with director Bumbalo to hone the writing and sharpen the performance.

The Marsh announces that Alicia Dattner's hilarious solo show THE OY OF SEX will extend its run at The Marsh San Francisco, playing Saturdays through February 22, 2014. Using true stories from her life, Dattner outlines a recipe for disaster: take one virgin, two boyfriends, several dozen lovers, half a dysfunctional family, and one comedian. Bake 15 years, and sprinkle a pinch of polyamory. Serve hot, and voila! The result is this sizzling show about love addiction, created with help from contributing directors David Ford, Katie Rubin, and Jonathan Bender. THE OY OF SEX, a heart-wrenching, sobering, laugh-out-loud story of sex, drugs…and more sex, continues at The Marsh San Francisco now through January 18 (Thursday/Friday at 8pm, Saturday at 8:30pm) and January 25 through February 22, with shows on Saturdays at 5pm in the Upstairs Studio Theatre.
