The Katharine Hepburn Cultural Arts Center (The Kate) announced today that the one and only Cher will receive the 5th annual Spirit of Katharine Hepburn Award during The Kate's virtual gala on Saturday, October 3 at 7:30 pm.

Netflix has ordered 10 episodes of Country Comfort, a new original multi-cam comedy series created by Caryn Lucas (The Nanny, Miss Congeniality). he series stars Katharine McPhee (Waitress on Broadway, The House Bunny) as Bailey and Eddie Cibrian (Take Two, RoseWood) as Beau, as well as Ricardo Hurtado (Malibu Rescue), Jamie Martin Mann, Pyper Braun, Shiloh Verrico (Here Today, Crown Vic) and Griffin McIntyre.

AMC announced today from the Television Critics' Association (TCA) Press Tour that Charlie Heaton (Stranger Things), Malin Akerman (Billions, Dollface, Rampage), Betsy Brandt (Breaking Bad, Life in Pieces) and JJ Feild (Turn) have joined the cast of AMC's Soulmates, the six-part episodic anthology series that wryly examines the nature of romantic love, written by Emmy® Award-winner Will Bridges (Stranger Things, Black Mirror) and Brett Goldstein (Superbob, Adult Life Skills). Heaton, Akerman, Brandt and Feild join previously announced cast, including Sarah Snook (Succession, The Dressmaker, Steve Jobs), David Costabile (Breaking Bad, Billions) and Sonya Cassidy (Lodge 49, Humans, The Woman in White), among others.

She has already taken on Broadway and the West End. Now Katharine McPhee is back to close up the diner for good! As BroadwayWorld previously reported, the stage and screen star will close out the Waitress's run, which concludes on January 5, after having played 33 previews and 1544 regular performances.
